Dog person here! I have a 3 yr old lab beagle mix that my ex and I adopted. I found a Chihuahua mix that I kept on 7/4 this yr, I also am caring for my brothers dogs one is a chihuahua, rat terrier dachshund mix and the other well I think she has some corgi in her Lol.

I like both cats and dogs. I currently only have 1 cat in the house and no dogs so I guess I'm a cat person. At least I'm not as gay as Camaro owners, right?

I'm a dog person but a I like any cat that won't freak out and try to claw me to death after it's just seemed to ask for, and is enjoying me petting it.

Reptiles are cool too. I had a very tame iguana that was great with kids and was potty trained, I'm thinking about picking up a bearded dragon for my daughter.

I am definitely a pet person. We only have two cats because it's much easier when we both work, however we both want lots of pets as we build our family. With that being said, I can definitely understand why so many people dislike cats because quite a large portion of them really don't care that much about humans. However, I believe it's sort of a chicken-egg complex. Just as puppies, human babies, and kittens... if you give them lots and lots of attention when they are small, more often than not they will grow to love their human affection. However, so many people don't like cats I think it's harder to break the cycle. My childhood cat absolutely loved humans. He would constantly hang around us till the day he died tragically due to a coyote. We now have a female calico that talks ALL the time and cannot stand being away from us - definitely right up there with my nostalgic childhood pet.

Someday we'll get some lovable dogs once we get a real backyard.

Any single straight guy should always have a cat... They don't require barely any attention, if I am gone a couple days you can leave a big bowl of water and food instead of having to put them in a shelter or bothering a friend to watch them, they don't wine much ever like a dog does. They are just simple animals.
