Also, take a look at a few countries like Saudi Arabia: Homosexuality carries, in theory, an automatic death penalty, yet the men there are screwing each other's brains out. You folks don't realize it, but what you think is your own revulsion towards gays is really a desire to go back to "keeping up appearances," as Muslim countries do.

Wow, that's a pretty bold statement (gays make better parents.) I suppose you have all the fact ridden data to back a statement such as that up?

Notice I said TYPICALLY make better parents. If a homosexual couple wants a child, they have to adopt, artificial insemination or sperm donor are also options if it's a lesbian couple. Two of those options require them to allow themselves to be examined by a government agency. Also, they actually WANT the child as opposed to having sex and accidentally getting knocked up. Also, personal experience. I have gay & lesbian friends and family. They're good people and I wouldn't hesitate to leave my child with them. I'm a straight male and I was raised Methodist. I still can't find it in my heart to consider LGBT people bad, evil, etc...

I dunno, I didn't think gm needed an ad to sell camaros to gays! Have they not been successfully doing that since the 82 t top berlinetta?

As for the Olympics, have not been watching much but I will be watching the hockey where Canada will clearly dominate

Who cares? I mean does it really bother you that much that Chevy is advertising to gay people. I mean I don't think being gay is right either but there are people out there who are gay and chevy just want to make money. I mean if they want to advertise toward the gay community that is their right. who are you to say it is wrong. Besides who cares?

Point taken sir. Although generalizing about cleanliness and whatnot was a little out there. Just because they're gay doesn't give them better cleaning habits!

I could care less. Gay people do not affect my everyday life and most are decent people. What you do behind closed doors with Gerbils, vegetables and soda bottles is your business. Respect me and I'll extend the same courtesy.

Now acting like Bruno is another story altogether.

"No big deal, new world" that's the whole problem, attitudes like yours , total moral decay.

You can't be serious. Yes, let's go back to the Old World...you know...the Dark Ages...filled with superstition, intolerance and hate. There's a lot more wrong with the world that needs our attention than attacking loving people who are working to build a supportive family environment. Time for you to rethink "moral decay".

I think he meant a few decades ago. Those of us who have lived long enough as adults notice the difference.

GM marketing tends to aim at people's lifestyle or compassion if you will. Just listen to the commercial for their trucks .. A man, A man and his truck and or A woman a woman and her truck . It's more aim at the someone's character. I could careless only GM product I like is the corvette. What ever makes you sell it's not your fathers Chevrolet is just another add slogan which to be honest in this politically correct world can offend some .

To me, marriages such as that of Kim Kardashian and that basketball mongaloid are bigger assaults on marriage than that of two gay people who honestly love each other.

Please explain how the LGBT community equals moral decay?

+ 1

If you want to push a moral decay agenda, look at those celebrity weddings that do it to boost popularity and increase sales of a certain product.

Yeah...I know. Being a child of the 50's I've been around long enough to have learned that humanity has been struggling with intolerance and hate a veeerrrryyy long time. Wasn't too long ago that the world was a far uglier place. Progress is a good thing.

If the big phobia about homosexuality is having to watch two guys deep kissing in public...I'm with you...BUT...I also don't care seeing hetero couples doing the same thing in public. Get a room for God-sake!!!

Yes, what people do with their respective pegs and holes in private is up to them. If one can get this in their head a lot of intolerance would evaporate. Sometimes it's just the image that we need to get over. (Ever walk in on your mom and dad...doing it in their 80's??? Not that I have...but that's an image one might also having a difficult time getting over.)

The moral decline...regarding this issue is...a non-issue.

I think it's insulting to homosexuals.

Does chevy think they are so gullible as to base a major financial decision because of a single commercial, that kinda-sorta shows a gay couple?

That's ridiculous.

My sister is in performing arts so every male friend she's ever had is almost unbelievably gay. I certainly don't understand why they do what they do but I don't knock them for it. However this commercial is a little over the top, Chevy knows there market I guess? But if this commercial upsets you that much OP maybe you need to do a little soul searching and try to forgive your uncle for traumatizing you as a young boy

I'd love to know the percentages of people who are against gays are either religious or have never even known/been friends with/etc a LGBT person. Amazing how much hypocrisy there is. Mind your own business and live your own life.
