Hustled!!!

Theres no cheap AND safe way for u to beat that car. A nice set of twins would do the trick, but that aint cheap to do right. Youre gonna need 700+rwhp. Bet hes making 575ish at the wheels.

The way I read your post was that stock Z06's were capable of 9's on just DR's.

It was, but I stand corrected. I was under the impression they pushed in to the 9s, but turns out that was cammed, tuned etc. The non-Z06 C6 (I think it was a C6) has been seen pushing 10s on DRs. 100hp added should have pushed it in to the 9s for the Z06, but it appears the hp didn't translate to that like it should have.

No stock ls3 C6 has gone 10's with DR's to my knowledge. Probably with bolt-ons. But theyre a bitch to drag race.

My memory is all jacked up. The mid 10 second run was the C6 Z06 on DRs. The one pushing closer to 9s was the ZR1. it's consistent low 10s.

I really have to refresh my memory on this stuff. It's been about 4 years since I last read up on all this stuff.

My ZR1 would probably do 10.8 @ 14X. C/H/ported blower, pully, e85/race fuel tunes, and full bolt-ons with transmission/differential upgrades. I run on DR's too, but they certainly arent made for the 1/4 mile. From a dig both my corvettes are useless and stupid. From a roll, watch the **** out. Lol. Those guys putting down great track times have both great driving skills and proper setups for the track. Most c6 z owners will run high 11's or low 12's at the track. I think the fastest stock tire was 10.9.

I have no shame in saying my cars are roll racers. My C5 Z has beaten several 10 second track cars even though I typically run mid 11's at 132-134, even though countless others have been mid to low 10's with similar setups. Vettes are hard to drag race and its probably the most frusterating thing ever. Thats why I rarely do it. Ill go to the lsx shootout but thats about it only to see the other guys run. I always tell people to run them from a dig if u want your best shot at beating it.

I dont doubt many of the stories here where "slower" cars beat vettes from digs when they under normal circumstances shouldnt. Launching a vette is an art.

You can get the Vettes to hook. Nittos are not the answer and many Vette guys are afraid to run real tires on them

A stock z with good driving can go mid to high 11s at about 122-125 in decent air. With good bolt ons and drag radials 10s can be had and trap speeds of around 130ish. A heads cam one depending on head and cam used can be a 135 MPH car on pump gas and can be Supra like on the highway

Good death

OP have you been living under a rock??? LMAO

You thought you had a chance with a slightly modified Terminator with a little weight reduction against a HCI C6Z???

i just dont get how you could make that dumb of a bet unless you asked him to give you 5 cars and the hit, lol, yah live and learn i guess. You must be new to the car scene.

Just throw a Boss intake on your car and you will have no problems.
