How are you lilimg the shift knob? I drive an '06 Si as my DD that came stock with a metal shift knob. Scalding hot in the summer time and freezing in the winter.

I drove one of these around a bit and loved it. They also look very good with some proper wheels and stance

Cute Car:poke:

I really like them, there's one on the deck at my job that has the Brembo brakes. Looks great.

Nice looking Coupe. I almost bought one last year. Did you get to drive a 3.8? At the time I was looking at the Genesis Coupe, there were no 3.8s to test drive. I only drove the 2.0 turbo. Wish I could have compared the 3.8.

I drove 3 3.8GTs and 3 2.0t. I wanted the 3.8 Grand Touring because if leather+nav but the nav in those kinda suck, nothing like sync or whatnot.

All of the ones I drove were 8ATs. The 2.0t with the 8AT felt laggy and I drove two premium versions and they rode really rough and felt like they didn't know what gear to be in, coupled with a laggy feel made a crappy driving experience. The 3.8s were better with the 8AT but after I realized paying extra for the nav I didn't like I broadened my search. That opened it up for standard cars and this was the first 6spd 13+ I drove and fell in love.

No number of gears and paddles compares to a full manual driving experience.

Sunset cliffs?

Heading out there today, rain or shine, to give a couple of friends a tour of SD. If you see a white GTO....

Which dealer if you don't mind me asking? SD dealers (all of them) seem to be pompous pricks. I've convinced many friends to buy in LA or central Cali, and just do a road trip back home.

Nah La Jolla cove.

I did two LA loops looking at a bunch of different cars, was also looking at Kia optima SX because they have the same 2.0t that the 13+ Gen Coupe has, 6spd Auto but had paddle shifters and a pretty good interior (dual moonroofs ftw).

I got my car from Poway Mitsubishi/Hyundai. None of the LA dealers wanted to come down on pricing.

I've ran steel knows on all my cars. Yeah it sucks in cold and heat but you get over it. The stock knob in my car is this contoured thing, I like a knob because of how I shift, my Palm is on top not to the side.

I would have definitely chosen the manual over the auto as well. I did not like the 2.0T Genesis Coupe auto that I test drove. I did, though, like the manual. I drove both an auto and manual Mini Cooper S (turbo) and even though the auto shifted nicely in Sport mode, I just had to get the 6-speed manual. I'm really happy I made that decision. Driving is so much more fun with the manual.

Finally upgraded the DD. 2013 Gen Coupe 2.0t with only 4k on it, still fully warrantied to 100k (CPO). Was looking for a 3.8 Grand Touring but dealers all thought they were sitting on gold mines and nobody wanted to haggle. Found a dealer willing to actually talk pricing, got a great deal on a insanely clean car and the fact even after 2yrs of me putting 20k on it yearly that itll still be worth market value is a definite bonus.

Some quick pics from earlier thismorning:

First Mod, shift knob brah!

Pending:
OEM Spoiler Install
OEM Fog/DRL LED install

Then:
Catback/Intake/Tune

This car is a blast to drive. Sure its no track or Rspec but it still handles nicely when you push it into and out of a corner.

There are after market turbos available. They are far from being as strong as an evo or srt4 but I've seen them on e85 with 400whp.

why no EB Mustang?

Too expensive. You won't get one for under $28k otd, and no way in hell I'll make that sort of payment again. Low $300s is the most I'll pay for a car payment these days.

Maybe when those get to low 20s I'll swap. But been wanting a Gen Coupe since they came out so I'd kick myself in the ass if I never bought one.

Nice and congrats! I've always wanted to run my daily against a modded tune/exhaust/etc 2.0t gen. Heard they're pretty stout with those mods alone.

The only car I bought in San Diego County was from El Cajon Ford and they weren't terrible. Every other car I bought I went to Riverside (Temecula, Hemet, Riverside to be exact) and had a much better experience. I would do research close to home and go up there to buy just because I couldn't stand most SD dealers.

Sounds good ill try, usually anytime im back up in norcal my time is already pre-planned to the minute between our families.

When I was up there in november it was pulling teeth just to get 3hrs away to look at another genesis in Fremont.

Very nice Thomas. I like them in white too.

Me too. Like them in all colors but acqua minerale blue. A few years ago I was looking at a limerock green 2010 2.0t for $16k but it moved before I could sell my current car.

looks fantastic man. Get a new sig pic to showcase new said turbo!

Maybe, my picture taking and photoshop skills arent what they used to be. Mostly why I still have the cobra pic, just too lazy to remove it or get a new one lol.

They are good looking cars - Let the mods begin:beer:

Yup. Really hard not to pull the trigger on a tune right now. Looking for a used catback though.
