Pretty sure this car was built by a local shop or there are two of these out there. It's impressive that those little 4 bangers can make that kind of power, but lets be serious, how long can it be expected to live pushing that level of boost?

And I'm in the camp that thinks it's a terrible thing to do to a Mustang.

It's a 4G63. That is what they do.

Checkout the DSM Shootout or Buschur Racing or AMS.

Here is a Fox that ran 8's in 2013.

It's a great combo. Solid Drag Chassis with a powerful, reliable, inexpensive motor. It's also simple and easy to work on. Compare wrenching on that to a 32v turbo...

I take it you never owned a DSM. That thing will need a rebuild every 6 passes. Evos are cool but, they sure ain't reliable at non stock power levels.

This is coming from a guy that had 2 Starions, a GTS-T and a 2003 Evo.

I bet you've never owned a Subaru ^_~.

I did have a Talon eons ago but never did anything with it. I know a half dozen guys with +600whp 4G63s. Some have had problems, others none at all.

There's not much out there that you can build on a budget and expect to live trouble free at +700whp.

Shit breaks, that's the race car life.

Well when a car runs numbers like that, what can you really hate about it? It's cool, different and hauls ass.

This. I don't get all the hate, car moves out fast as hell. Each owner has different goals and desires. He felt like runnning 8's in a 4 banger and still wanted to rock the best color ever made. No hate here.

Nothing like ruining a perfectly good Mustang by installing a Mitsubishi engine into it. This is what happens when ricers get a hold of real cars, absolutely pathetic. Now it's basically a rolling chassis, waiting to have a real engine installed into it.

It's a 2000 GT, settle down.

It would be more questionable if he did this to a cobra but at least it's not a downgrade from the 2v. Looks like a nice build but deff not the route I would go. 850hp is 850hp so unless you have close to that, he's winning lol.

Definitely done right, but.....doesn't interest me at all. To each his own, though.
