The gt350 is a great car, but we had these discussions before. The dealers are getting more for these cars and they are not worth it! Until supply increases anything goes. For the 4 guys out there who bought at invoice, good job!

Corvettes have no effect on prices of Porsches.... or Ferraris, or Lamborghinis... Corvettes have great effect on Viper prices. Camaros have great effect on Mustang prices, Mustangs have great effect on Camaro prices. The 1LE will have an effect oh the GT350 prices, and I am personally happy about that. I can tell you I can't stand the black rim look that all the manufacturers are going with. At least give a guy more options. It's a fad that I can't wait is over.

well yeah, because they werent even competitors ... The 1LE was a track pack aimed at the boss / Track Pack GT segment. The ZL1 was more of a dragster aimed at the GT500 segment. Now i dont know if either impacted the price of either at all, and quite frankly i dont care about yalls little pissing match any more, i would like to discuss the capabilities of these cars ... not whose going to pay what and whats worth this that or the other.

That 1LE will be quite a car for those of us who spend lots of time on-track. It's going to have the Z06's iron brake setup (which works very well and is a big step up from previous Z06/GS brakes), plus MRC, PDR, Recaros. The previous 1LE was a pretty damn good track car too if you could get past the weight and horrible seating position. The GT350 will still have better brakes, more power and (IMO only) a nicer interior and design than the Camaro.
Not sure it'll do much, if anything to effect GT350 pricing. That will work out on its own as Ford sells more and demand dies down a bit.

Oh really? Then why did the Z28 go from dealer mark ups to 15 grand below MSRP? And why did viper have to price adjust their cars by 20 grand? Just for fun right? But I am sure you have some lovely explanation for this in your head already and I am sure it has nothing to do with competition. Because manufactures don't compete against one another for market share, and prices don't matter anyway.. right?

lol @ the 1LE impacting the GT350 prices. The only thing that will effect the GT350 prices is time (and thus availability). FRAP seems be be pumping them out now and more and more are sitting on lots, at this point anything over 5k over isnt moving.

And yet you are still trying to prove your point by arguing as you state.

There's very little market for the viper. Most who want a 100k performance car want luxuries which the viper does not have. Very few people will pay for road worthy race car like the viper with or without the z06 in the market. The Z28 was simply overpriced as shown by the gm and their 1le.


The new 1le will be very competitive on track. Times will be manipulated to match or beat the vette like they did with the z28. Everything on the same tread I would expect the z51 to track faster.

Because no one is buying them even at MSRP and definitely not marked up. 20-25k under at this point because no one is going to pay 70k+ for an old gen parts bin camaro with sticky tires and rock hard suspension. Do you know understand simple economics?
