Released more information. Looks like it might even control the 10R80 that will be released in 2018 MY mustang

I just finished up the trans install today. I'm supposed to get a controller around the 11th. I'll add some feedback for you guys looking at that option. For those with older cars like mine (05-09) the 2011 and up shifter fits but it angles up in the back. It also requires minor trimming to the console. Here is mine without a shifter bezel as I'm trying to decide what I want to do.
Thanks Mike

Please let us know what you think and how it performs. Also if you have a list of what you all you ended up having to get.

That press release is pretty impressive.
Talking second gear leave, trans brake and future 10-speed control.
Will be following this closely on how this plays out.

TT-ranger: looks clean.
A simple aluminum trim ring or maybe swap in a newer console?

Their install directions are out. Its not quite as plug and play as I thought it would be, but I didnt really realize how many inputs it used.

There are quite a few swaps for sale on the facebook pages.

It's been awhile but I wanted to inform you guys that I'm now testing the Quick 6 controller. We've had a few hiccups as expected. It's mainly been my converter. The original programming was setup for a stock converter. My Circle D takes a lot less pressure to engage so we had to tame that down. It also caused a issue with the 1-2 shift. The good news is Karl at US shift knows why and believes he has a fix for this already. Hopefully in the next day or so I'll know if it works. We've been working on it everyday since I got it. They have been really good to deal with. It took me a few days to get it going the way I wanted (still got plenty to do), but I'm really enjoying it !!! Here's a quick picture of my shifter (11 shifter/13-14 handle). Its temporary until I buy a new console top.

I didn't read this complete thread so if someone has mentioned this already I am sorry but just in case someone has not, power by the hour has done several of these swaps.

I have pair of in-the-wrapper Trinity GT500s and am considering the 6R80 swap for one of them. The brand new Tremecs ought to yield a fairly substantial cost offset to help make the incremental parts cost more feasible.

I still can't bring myself to choose which of the two to convert. They're an otherwise-identical Coupe/Convertible pair. The Convertible makes far more sense as the type of car to convert. But especially given its condition and the relative rarity of 13-14 GT500 Convertibles, it's also a car I'd hate to alter.

I know really kick myself for trading a 13 Coupe which had been a third member of the set as, with fewer than 20K miles, it would've been the best option to Frankenmod. But alas, the offer and a GT350R too compelling at the time.

Still following to better-understand all that's involved in case the ideal used example happens along - for now.

Miss reading your posts Madlock.
After driving in a built 6R, I think it's better suited to a performance minded coupe. It works with the stock 'too-long for the TR6060' 3.31 rear gears. It never tops pulling and would be a great match for some classy power mods (think Cobra Jet--Whipple, oval TB, 140 mass air, ARH headers).
And even while keeping the rest of the car stock, would likely be a very bottom 10s ride depending how far you take it.
Just my take, all factory quality parts that could be returned to stock if you really wanted to, and gives a split personality to the twins :)

Oh sure. Make me want to kick myself in the ass even harder for letting go of my once-beloved 13 - or for doing a Coupe/Convertible set rather than Coupes with inverted colors.

Thanks. Thanks a lot. LOL

What sucks is this controller is supposedly has a horsepower limitation. I contacted them about the controller and was told no way it can control an 1100 hp car. I was really disappointed to hear. I hate using the 5.0 computer

Do your knock sensors work? That's what is tripping me up with the 5.0 computer. Wel that and getting the dam abs module to sync.

That is incorrect info. I talked directly to them and he said the only limitation would be the trans itself. My conversation was about using it on my 3.4 whipple car.

Why would an electronic controller be horsepower constrained? I can understand any of the mechanical pieces, albeit the 6R80 itself is stout enough to handle just about anything but the most insanely modded motors.

The bugaboo has been that the 6r80 is solenoid controlled, not valve body controlled. The PA controller cannot control individual line pressure for shifting properly, hence the HP limit. Baumann put the work in so that the line pressure can be controlled properly. It involves hardware and software, hence the delay in getting a product out there.
