Hey Gang,

I've been thinking about selling/trading my ZR1 and getting something slightly more uncomfortable/exotic. Don't get me wrong, I love the ZR Juan but now that I had a mid 10 second RS7 I feel like I will drive it EVEN LESS. That being said I have come up with a few cars I am thinking about.

1. Gen 4 Dodge Viper (possibly ACR) snake skin green or blue with white stripes

2. Gen 5 Dodge Viper

3. Porsche 911 Carrera

Anything else 2 door, manual transmission and more exotic...

Wanted to get everyones thoughts on this...thanks!

Whats the price range? Whats the purpose of the car? Occasional track days? simply a cruiser?

I like gen 4 viper looks better than gen 5 but the gen 5 interior is a huge step up!
Hell, you want uncomfortable buy a gen 2 viper that has boost. IMO its a far more desirable gen than the new ones, will be the long term classic for holding value. And yea. They're uncomfortable but still fun. I've been around more of them than I can count but NEVER in a boosted one, you seem to love raw power and I can not think of a better 2door, loud, obnoxious, uncomfortable car than that.

How’s reliability? Pics?
Gen IV Vipers are built like tanks. I'm at 650rwhp and that's about the end of the line before it would become untrackable.

Tons of pictures, link in my signature from when I purchased it.

Prices?
35-60 & everywhere in between. Usually depends on manufacturer of original kit & how extensive the build is. Small block vs big block also sways the price.
I've seen several really nice ones for upper 40's to lower 50's.

I don't think any of the newer ones he may want, have a manual option. Could be wrong on that.

I would vote gen 5 Viper.

Also love that an RS7 has ruined your love of a ZR1, lol.

Nope the last manual Lambo I think was the very last generation Diablo SV's that was made in 2001, after that they went manumatic, auto's due to the fact that they was far better at harnessing and hooking up with 600+ HP out of the engines, same with Ferrari's it's almost universal go past 600 a manual flat out does not make sense other than the chest thumpers thinking they are cool. Nothing wrong with it other than you will never get the performance numbers that a paddle shifting auto tranny can get.
