He wants to use them for HPDE etc, rather than burn them up on the street.
...

I hope he's not expecting to get a lot of events out of them. He'd get more use from them by running them down on the street.

not at my post...
That's the second pic I've seen now where the front of the '18 looks really nice. PP2 wheels are definitely helping it out.

Those wheels definitely give the 18s the broad shoulders they need and swear the fenders seem hair wider, probably my imagination. Car looks much better in person, definitely liking these 2018s a lot more.

The cost + the cat fish makes it a hard sell on me. The 15-17 was such a good looking car out of the box and in photos that it's difficult to sell me. Feels like a step backwards styling wise and the GT350 is still rocking the happy headlights.

Good luck OP.

The 2018 cars should be on sale since the 19s are already in the lots. Wouldnt be surprised if you can land a premium 18 for under $40k.
I'll look used. It'll be July next year before I buy. It's my retirement gift.
If youre going to option it up, at least MR, active exhaust and for me I would do 3.55s and the a10 if I wanted to go in a straight line.
MR and 3.55s on a dd would be a waste. I have toys. This wont be one. I dont mod my dd.
I would get two option on my base GT. PP2 and Recaros. Unfortunately those 2 options would run $46k.
If I could get the recaros in leather sure. The pp2 would serve no use to me.

Cost is a relative. A used 2018 should be half what my wife paid for her f350

On another note...Love this Lighting Blue, been green with envy since he brought it by this weekend.

I started looking at the '18's more recently.
With the right mods and suspension work/wheel tire set-up, these bad boys can hit low 10's in the quarter. I would have to mod mine as it wouldn't be a daily driver for me.

Love mine.

I dont like leather or unnecessary options... but thats just me and how i buy all of my cars.

Mine is a 301a which is basically a premium with cloth seats (perfect IMO). You get the large nav screen, drive modes (drag mode!!) , and the mycolor panels and dash. Just the options i need, and none that i dont.

I LOVE my '18. Far and away the most fun Mustang ive had to date... and ive owned 2 others with 600+whp in the last 4 years.

Be patient and shop around if you want all options. I got my '16 Premium GT with Nav for $10k off sticker just by being patient.

I have four toys in the shop now. I don't need more lol

Exactly why I got a 2016. The styling is better in my opinion than the 2018.

Congrats man!

But I’ll say me coming from a 2014 coyote car to this 2018... you’re missing the magic of the ‘18.

Add boost to your 16 and you’ll be a happy man.
