I just don't get it. IMO, the 03-04 cobra wheels look great, just not @ 17" dia. Most aftermarket wheels are just too noisy, too much design going on. I like simple clean lines. Cobra wheels do that. Is AFS wheels still in business? That's the only company that I know of that made 18" dia reps, that were 10+ widths for the rears. It just boggles my mind that no one is making these lol

Boggles my mind people would waste money on factory style aftermarket wheels. If your switching out, switch it up. So many gorgeous wheels out there and it seems like domestic guys only know 4 styles of wheel.
I'd like to know what those 4 styles of wheels are?

To @Skitzerman's point, there is near zero demand for a larger wheel to duplicate the factory wheels, even though it's a good look wheel. Just too many aftermarket options that are much more preferred. So many options that you should be able to find something you like, in your desired size.

If you only like that style, yes, AFS Wheels is still in business. As far as I know, they still make an '03/'04 Cobra 18" satin finish replica. Price is showing $375 a pair, or chromed for $1645 for a set of 4.

FR500, Bullitt, 95 Cobra R, and the fourth can be a toss up.

Gotcha. Since I have bullitt's on mine, I guess I'm just a dumb domestic wheel guy. I guess that fourth wheel, since it's a toss up, can be some RPF1's, or maybe some RK's, but only the one's that are 10" wide for the rear, or it could be some TE37's, but what do I know?

I am with you I would like some 18" chrome reps! AFS is a shit show trying to get a hold of and also they rarely seem to have wheels anymore.
Yeah, I emailed them a week ago and haven't heard anything. I guess I'll try to give them a call next week. Everything on the site says they are out of stock.

The AFS wheels will be available this year. They are sourcing a new supplier so it may be a while. You could still buy the rears up until a few weeks ago. I spoke to them. Overall the wheels are cheap Chinese crap that peel over time, they do look cool though

I’d be tempted to take the $1600 and apply it to a premium set of CCWs or similar

Any idea of what there goals are? Are they trying to up there quality? USA supplier? I knew that they were made in China, wasn't aware of the peeling issues. It'd be nice if they could create a light weight forged cobra rep in 18" and 9/10-11 widths in various finishes. I'd pay CCW pricing for a set.

He didn’t say. Let me clarify that not all peel, but that, along with pitting have been known. They are working on getting their molds to a new supplier.

AFS is out of all 18" 03-04 wheels. I bought the last 3 pairs (2 chrome, 1 satin) they had in stock. The manager said he "hopes" to have another manufacturer to make them this year or next but it's also possible that they don't produce any more. Feels very much like when Mavromont stopped making Pony R's. FWIW if anyone wants a BNIB machined face pair of 10.5's I'll sell them.

How about the 18” 2000 Cobra R wheels LMR sells? They look great, but only come in 9.5 width.

I’m running a set on my 00R to preserve the originals.

CCW 18" reps would be killer. Billet virgin aluminum, made in USA, would be easy to polish, custom offset for the Terminator, and most likely be ROUND unlike a bunch a Chinese crap wheels that are, not round..
Is buy a set in a minute!

Thanks for your efforts.
I bought the 4 new and last produced 18x10.5 Chrome wheels for my Teal ‘93 Cobra project.
I actually plan to sell 2 of them or trade for perfect 18x9 fronts or just narrow these to 8.5”
From what’s posted above, AFS would like to off load the mold. I’d love to see these made lighter with the new spun forged process.
I understand upgrading a wheel design, but I ran AFS 18s on my 2004 and it’s a beautiful wheel. For guys that want a subtle upgrade and keep factory design language while increasing performance, it’s a slam dunk.
If anyone has interest in 2 brand new 18x10.5s, or has mint 18x9s please PM me.

Loved the 18x10 replicas on my last Cobra. Perfect looking wheel for keeping the factory style.
