The W-30 cam specs at (0.006) 328/328 .475/475 on a 108 overlap for the 4 speed cars, the auto cars got a 286/287 .472/.472 cam with 57 overlap.
The GS-X got (0.006) 316/340 .490/.490 on a 91 degree overlap.
You can tell right away that an auto W-30 doesn't stand a chance against a GS-X car based on cam alone. The car above most likely uses the 4 speed cam which requires a factory special QJunk carb. In top of that, it's probably running more compression. That car isn't typically what a W-30 car usually runs.
This is what a typical W-30 should be running
