As I mentioned in post # 39, I contacted the current owner, who sent me these:

.Well played sir!
Indeed! Would hate to see it devolve into another narcissist playground..If " WE " can't have fun,...............why come here ??
Oh no you didn’t! You forgot to add devolving into a 2020 CFTP-only, playground!Indeed! Would hate to see it devolve into another narcissist playground.
Silly of me, I know, especially when they are SUPERCARS with PERFECT stripes that take things to a WHOLE 'NOTHA LEVEL.Oh no you didn’t! You forgot to add devolving into a 2020 CFTP-only, playground!
We will have to suffer owning our slab-sided 13/14s. What will we do?Silly of me, I know, especially when they are SUPERCARS with PERFECT stripes that take things to a WHOLE 'NOTHA LEVEL.
I believe I am done with the other site. Specific personalities have become unbearable. Think a certain way and accept the garbage being force fed over there or don’t go there. I have chosen not to visit there. Sad thing is, certain personalities aren’t even aware of the narcissistic nature of themselves.Silly of me, I know, especially when they are SUPERCARS with PERFECT stripes that take things to a WHOLE 'NOTHA LEVEL.
Some people need to have the latest and greatest? Even if it Isn’t the greatest people will still find a way to make you believe that it is... 2020=Heavy Weight=Auto that not everyone wants and ADM’s. This is my view others may be different!I believe I am done with the other site. Specific personalities have become unbearable. LOL! I'll take our antiquated and "less desirable" cars over the new one any day!We will have to suffer owning our slab-sided 13/14s. What will we do?
I still visit, mainly because I remember what it USED TO BE. Having been a member for over 8 years, I've seen a LOT of change. It's no longer a place where everyone can freely exchange ideas. Instead, it's become the personal platform of one very controlling individual. I appreciate reasonable moderation to keep discussons civil and focused, but it's become increasingly clear dissenting opinions are no longer welcome. Merciless enforcement of what one person's view of "right" and flippant/condescending dismissal of anyone who disagrees have become the norm. Making a big deal of treating others with respect and civility, while personally failing on both counts when someone disagrees with you is hypocritical, to say the least. Wielding the "banhammer" without any recourse, ability to appeal, or hope of return is wrong. A number of "old timers" with whom I enjoyed interacting are no longer there because they were perma-banned. Private inquiries on their behalf go nowhere, because "no banned members will ever be reinstated." Lifetime bans for disagreeing with "moderation style" are over-the-top and indicate deep-seated insecurities.I believe I am done with the other site. Specific personalities have become unbearable. I've always been good with different strokes for different folks, but not the need to constantly remind oneself and everyone else why whatever you have is the best. It makes for some pretty humorous rationalizations, though. A recent example is the claim that a 495HP N/A Stingray bested a 760HP S/C GT500 in a 1/2-mile drag race because of, get this, dust! (Nevermind, both cars contended with exactly the same "unprepped" and "dusty" conditions.) Ironically, a different article about the new GT500 beating a C8 was trumpeted only a few months ago, with no mention of the obvious mismatch between 495HP N/A and 760HP S/C specimens, that made the win less-than-brag-worthy. Lest anyone believe I'm biased in Chevy's favor, I don't like either car! Some people need to have the latest and greatest? The rules were changed awhile back to favor the mod girl. By the mod girl.LOL! I'll take our antiquated and "less desirable" cars over the new one any day!

Norton - sadly what you described is the mentality this Country is turning into. Cant have an opinion or discussion and get run over by the mob mentality.LOL! I'll take our antiquated and "less desirable" cars over the new one any day!

I just scanned the thread that (I'm guessing) did it for you. He's deliberately ignorant of his own failings. His issues have been pointed out many times by many people. How does one reconcile 2020 Shelby GT500 CFTP paint issues! (big wet sanding and polishing project video) with repeated claims that 2020 stripes are simply "perfect"? Wouldn't it be more honest/accurate to admit Ford's $10K stripes leave something to be desired? Why is anyone who's not completely enamored with his new toy automatically assumed to be gisgruntled because the "2020 outshines" theirs? In his narrow mind, it's simply not possible for anyone to prefer something other than what he judges as "perfect". Everyone else is just a disgruntled, jealous hater.Very sad indeed. Some good folks over there. Must be some kind of insecurity issue to always be pushing how much better you are than others. I have been around the type before. They aren’t even aware, usually.
Spot-on assessment. It's become too hard for some to respect differences of opinion, taste, etc.Norton - sadly what you described is the mentality this Country is turning into. Cant have an opinion or discussion and get run over by the mob mentality.
