36 and been with my current company just over a year. I left my last job of 5 years December of 2021 after all the BS with Covid and them not doing anything about their lazy ass employees who they think were rockstars. Been much happier at the new gig, better pay, started with 6 weeks of vacation, vs. 12 days at my last job, and actually have bonus potential, which we will for sure get. Also have a hybrid work schedule which is nice.

As most know I've been doing performance most of my career (~10 years), but recently got out of it. Now I work as an estimator / parts at a high end body shop. Do everything from Lamborghini to Tesla to Prevost to Freightliner.

Over 10 years running my own business. Almost 37.

I like what I do, the employees are a pain. Never seen people demand so much and capable of doing so little.

All over the place for my 10 and 20 year plans. Some days I want to expand, the next I'm looking for a different revenue stream.

And I trump you Kaz! LOL. 74yo and 37 years at my present job. "Maybe" stay another 3-5 years and then.....rest! I've had a rewarding work career, but stepping away will be great. My wife (works with me) had foot surgery on November 10th and she was home bound recouping with me taking care of her. We just went back to work last Tuesday. That was almost 2 months away from the office. I'm not going to lie, it was nice.

44 years old and 3 years at my current position. But getting hired govvy can be a pain. Things just finally worked out. I'm planning on buying back my time in the Navy and retiring at 61.

43-44 in May.

19yrs at what was an awesome job for 17 yrs.

21’ got pretty bad.

22’ is ****ing horrible. Everybody is miserable. Can’t come close to recruiting requirements with a 20k hiring bonus. Suicide rate has more than doubled.

We keep saying that it can’t get any worse but this ****ing ********** keeps pulling the rabbit out of his hat.

Sounds like you're going to be the winner here Bob lol, I honestly hope to be retired at 59 1/2.

We have about 25-30 guys with 40+ years and our senior guy at my site has 57! He has to be pushing 80 years old.

Owning your own business is intriguing. I have a few friends with businesses, but their employees like you said, are a pain in the ass these days.
