The prices on these SS's are going bonkers brother..........
They definitely are, I should have gotten one when I had the chance, oh well.
Sweet car.
I’m liking the prototype car too but 2014 prototype isn’t the same to me as the 2013 prototype. Did they change much on the 2014 SS?
Painted Guardman blue stripes look killer.

The prototype is cool and im sure it'll be very collectible, but I'd rather spend 160k and try to get a holeshot SS over prototype type SS

2014 FORD MUSTANG SHELBY GT500 SUPER SNAKE PROTOTYPE........Very RARE and highly collectible one here.......

I’ve seen this on some cars and I’m wondering what causes this oxidation

Is it normal or did they use the wrong cleaning products? Or is this just something that can be wiped away?

Its a common issue on these SS rear faux caps. The paint doesnt hold well when rubbed hard during washing and/or high water pressure. Mine has a small blemish/wear around the edge by the GT500 lettering......

Holeshot package is badass....I agree! But 30K for 85 more RWHP over a standard SS package was crazy. I feel more comfortable w/850 SS package with those stock rods. SAI only warrantied that holeshot package for 2 years.

I wonder if this is the same for the regular GT500's? If so, should we be ordering the faux gas caps and saving them for the future in case Ford ever discontinues it and we want to restore our cars.

I don't believe the 2013-2014 GT500's Faux caps have this issue. If you plan on owning your shelby for the next decade or so it probably wouldnt be a bad idea to get one while there still available.

The faux cap comes pre-installed in the black panel.

I have 4 OEM panels BNIB.
At $400.00 ea it seemed like a very wise investment.

Interesting. I had not noticed that comparison but super interesting! Wonder how long that will last or if it's a sign of things to come for years.

I don't understand why Shelby SS caps have (what appears to be) a matte/weathered finish, even when new. Not a good look, IMO.

Not even a SS can be compared to the UNICORN..........she is unique and in a league of her own.......:giggle:.
LOL! I know better than that, @Vinnie_B! She's just a run-of-the-mill GT500, but she's mine.

SS are awesome but, like most, I prefer some options and finishes over others. I don't recall seeing the white inserts until recently. A local friend, who had a 2014 850HP SS with upgraded interior didn't have them and I THINK many of the SS we've previously discussed didn't either. If you've got them, I intended no offense. White seats just aren't my thing.

To echo what @Norton stated about "options", that is kinda why I am not bent over the barrell about never having a CSM# to my car.

I have done the math for my car starting with initial cost and what was already on the car.

Here are my future plans
Blower
Install on hand Wilwood SS Brake Kit
Build Motor:
Touch Up Paint:

I will be around the $90k dollar mark when it's done.

Q. In the end, will I have a CSM#?
A. No

Q. Will my car be "better" than a real SS?
A. Yes, yes it will be. And faster

I feel for these people that buy these SS now (13/14) and have no idea that there are no longer replacement parts if something gets damaged.
(most probably just have tiny penis syndrome and just wanna park it in the garage for people to come look at)

The manager selling the current one on BaT was unaware the wheels and hood had been discontinued until I divulged that info.

As for me ever getting another set of SS wheels? Guess it's gonna cost me upwards of $120,000 to get 4 more wheels if I want them bad enough:ROFLMAO:
