Procharger sells a filter very similar to that, just doesn't have a filter in it. I had clearance problems with my radiator.

Hey SOS...any info/pics on the procharger one? I too would rather have a real filter instead of the screen and want to get rid of my "powerpipe" that made NO additional power or boost...

I bought a procharger one that is a "filter" I think its junk! They charged me $65 for a $5 piece of junk. Its looks to me like it is a air compressor filter. When I ordered it they sent me the one with just a screen so I returned it and they sent this junk to me. But tried to charg me over a 100 for it. Ill try to post some pics of it when I get a chance.

All I know is its a bunch or screen at different angles to "act" like a filter. You can see right through it. The powerpipe is really only good for 1/2lb boost.

Yea thats the one I have, I was just saying that the quality is way off the normal procharger quality. The filter media is held to the backing plate with silicone. Take it for what its worth.

Well my Bassani mid-lengths are leaky SOB's. I completely blew one of the gaskets out. If I were to run stock gaskets, I'd need both stock and Bassani because of the wide channel on the header side for the Bassani gasket. Needless to say, stock manifolds are going on; I don't want to risk another leak. ........anybody want some mid-lengths, they are for sale. :rolling:

Damn dude, that sucks. For my MAC's on my GT, I got fel-pro gaskets and used gasket maker, and that sealed it all up. What's so special about the bassani gaskets? So stock manifolds and o/r X now??

I had the same leaking problem with mine, after the second time around I bought the bassani inserts again and also bought the felpro gaskets for the 03-04 cobras, but this time I use locktite on the bolts and from there its been more than 3 years leak free.

There is a channel in the header flange for each tube where this little rectangular Bassani gasket fits inside. I used orange RTV, locktite on the studs and antiseize on the nuts. The cats will stay on the Bassani, and yes, stock manifolds.

I contemplated Kooks longtubes with a Kooks catted midpipe, or MAC longtubes, but could not justify the cost right now. I know my luck/history with this car, and they WILL leak within a month if I do this.

Why would you put Stock Manifolds on a F1 blower ? :bash:
You need to break down and get the Kooks LTS . It will create more power and help with manifold pressure . During heavy boost you need not worrying about blowing exhaust gaskets , it will be valve cover gaskets , and possibly a head gasket . Boost is your friend but it could very well be your enemy as well . Just take your time on the install and you will be just fine . If your worried pay to have installed and if it leaks take it back and let them fix it .

If I ever go with LT's i'm going with the bbk's. I don'y want to have to pull one header if I have to change a clutch if I went with the macs.

I can't hold back any longer. I'm not sure WTF your problem is, but you need to read. Have you seen my current power level? Do you know how long I will keep it at this boost? Do you know who I am, have you met me in person? Do you know my financial status or near-future plans for my life? ..............the answer to all of those questions is NO. Do not come in here and act like I don't know WTF I am doing. There are reasons for what I do, reasons for which I should not have to explain to people like you. ....I am open to suggestions, but not when they come across like that.

........good day.

Well its quite apparent you dont ! Shouldnt have stepped up to the plate with an F1 if you couldnt do it right . Not to mention your only pushing D1 numbers . I was only giving you correct info and suggestions but its apparent you know what your doing considering your numbers and your recent post with installing Stock Manifolds on a Big Boost Application .

Good Day , and i wont post on your threads anymore !

BBK's are the same way. they're a pain cause u have to remove the PS header to install a clutch. Kook's and Hooker FTW. I heard ARH you dont have to remove either.

Nailed it.

Hmmm. I think you blew up on him. I was thinking the same thing as well he just posted his thoughts first. You will see significant power with the longtubes considering your setup. As for the money I'm sure most of us understand that money doesn't grow on trees. But seeing as how you have a built motor, F1, used to have a TT set up etc, longtubes just seems like it wouldnt be that big of a deal. No need to get angry just giving opinion.

On a side note, you said you had clearance issues running just the turbo filter over he blower inlet?

Seems a lot more like an assumption than an opinion. Just because he's gradually been able to build his car up to this level, that up that has no relevance over the pace at which he's done it.
