Hey Jomo did the HID foglight bulbs go into the housing without any problems? I recently replaced my passenger side foglight since it flew off the car (didn't have things too secure). The bulb doesn't fit well into the housing for some reason. I was curious about the fitment of the HID guy's foglight bulbs?

All of our bulbs are made exactly like the stock OEM bulb is made, only difference is it has the HID capsule instead of a Halogen capsule, we have never had any issues with bulb fitment, just as long as the correct bulb is ordered for your vehicle.

really?? cuz i have 6k and its brighter to me than the 43 and theres no blue in it at all, hmm maybe youre right

The 4,300 would have the best rated Lumens, but compared to the 5k and 6k the lighting is very different, the 4,300 has yellow hue to the bulb, where the 5k and the 6k are basically pure white, we have compared the vision of all three of those colors at night inside the same exact housings and the 5k and 6k have much better lighting compared to 4,300; but also the quality of the bulb has a lot with light output and the ballast has the most to do with brightness also (not all HID ballasts have the same electronics inside, we know, we've sold 6 other different HID kits before the one's we carry now).

Like anything else, the higher the quality the better the performance.

Not one problem...I double sided taped my balasts and ziptied them for extra security...

Man they look great  How do you think they would look on a torch red cobra. I just cant decide if they would look good or not. I would be afraid that the blue color might clash with the red, but anyways man looks great!

Well I spoke with them on the phone and the reason the kits looks different is because they make a specific kit for me since I ordered the hi/lo kit so no worries.

Oscar, I installed the 6k low beam kit in stock housings, adjusted my lights up, and wanted to ask about bulb placement. Is there only one way to install the bulb into the housing, I saw there were tabs, but didn't know if rotating the bulb would create a different light output. The reason I ask is the lighting is good, but there is a brighter and darker patch area towards the end of the lighting area. Thanks, Tim Email me if you need to [email protected]

I am a bit sketchy on if I am going to answer the question your asking, but the Mustang Headlights Reflector is not made perfect, with all of the installs we have done, there will always be a patch of light missing on the Driver's Side headlight pattern due to how the housings were made to begin with, so it might seem as if the pattern of the light (on the driver's side) is shifted a bit more towards the center, but there's not much to do about that one there, we have tried re-adjusting the bulb and changing it's position but the reflector in these housings is not easy to work with (in other words the bulb is not supposed to be shifted anyways). We suggest bringing down the Passenger's side just a bit to where the level on the wall looks perfect, but the lighting does not seem much more empty on the left side of your field of vision.

Hopefully I understood your question correctly, if not let us know.

Yes that answers it. It is a definite upgrade over stock, but I was tinkering with the level so I can continue with your advice, thanks. It seemed when I put the bulb in they would only go in at one position, and it sounds like that doesn't affect it anyway, as you related the stock housings were not designed for HID. I got spoiled when I bought my vette with its HIDs, but I like your kit. I mounted my ballasts with the tape, under the headlights after reading a post, so hope that works out. I think they will get vented there too. Tim

They look awesome. I don't know why so many folks have a problem with the light blue tint in the 6k. Its the best part of the 6k kit.
theres really no tint, its because people dont know how to take pictures correctly. FINALLY someone who knows that you dont point the lens at the headlights/foglights!

Actually mounting the ballasts under the headlights will help a bit, but as long as the surface is well cleaned with rubbing alcohol before mounting you should be fine, the pads stick very well to plastic and venting the ballasts a bit helps in the long run.

Im very interested!! I want all white so its the 5000k or 6000k right?

All plain white would be the 5k, the 6k would be around the same but with slight hint of purple-ish blue-ish hue in some cases, depends a lot on adjustment of your OEM headlight reflector also; but all in all the main beam of lighting will be almost the exact same nice clean bright white.

Great thanks for the input.
