11:15 and 195lbs. Very disappointed. The added 15lbs of fat from Christmas has slowed me down. I was hoping for 10mins and 210-220lbs.
That's still pretty solid. I hope to get 185. I plan to start with 155 on the bar cause I know I can chuck it up real fast in case I'm close to the 12 mins.

My cardio is better than my strength. But if I clean over my weight (180) I'll be happy. I didn't sign up for the games but am still doing the workouts to see how'd I do.

Well I got to they gym yesterday. Stretched and started a very basic workout. 10 GHDs, 10 Cal Assault bike, 10 50# DB Thrusters, 15 Cal Row.

I was like wow my legs all of a sudden feel really good. Not as tired as they should of been. Then my buddy came in to redo 18.2 so I started cleaning with him. That felt much better than Saturday. So long story short I ended up redoing it 40 mins before scores were do and shaved almost 45 secs off and hit 207 on the clean. I had 212lbs all the way up but could not get under it do to my legs being dead.

My second workout of the day was Jujitsu class. Worked on orange belt test material then rolled with a couple of guys. Finished one with americana to arm-bar and the other with a gi choke (from mount, arm under head grab the gi and pull arm back from under head).

Nice man. That's about my max clean so I doubt I'll be near that after doing the workout .

^I wish our world was not in such demand for stress relievers. Somewhere along the line we did something wrong.

some people will disagree with me, but my stance is that if you're not the least bit stressed, then you're not pushing yourself---whether its to improve at work, school, be a better parent, husband/wife, etc.

I ran 8 miles and biked 15 min hard for a cool down last night at the y. this was after a day that started with me getting my kids up, ready for school, packed lunches, dropped them off, and did 11 joint surgeries. this was an unusually busy day for me, but this was a good end to the day. I left the gym completely relaxed and ready to finish the day off and start the next day with zero stress

No, I actually agree with you. I do the same as far as trying to be better. It's the other things that put people into over-stressed mode. Things like traffic/bad drivers, obnoxious people we have to work with or deal with, bad news on the telly whether it's political or violent in nature, family drama, etc. Basically things beyond our control.

Just finished a 30 minute lap swim and 15 minutes in the sauna. Currently sipping Stolichnaya. I used to believe booze was a stress reliever but that was an excuse to drink, I think. I just like my cocktails.

Did legs today.

Chest. Got the 100lb dumbells up for my flat bench press and 90's on the incline. Felt good, especially while being in a caloric deficit trying to lean out for summer.
Good for you man.
Me, my brother and my buddy all used to train together back in day. We all got stuck on the 90's and wanted the 100's, but we never got there. That's some serious weight.

Going to need all the strength you can muster for big booty hoe chasing :D (uncle meat thread) ....I kid...I kid...I read some interesting things on weight training while limiting caloric intake/uptake, intermittent fasting. I was surprised by the claims of making gains, definitely has interested me enough experiment some.

I did upper body today.

185 x 8 / 2 sets
225 x 8 / 2 sets
255 x 2 / 2 sets
275 x 3 / 1 set
305 x 1 / 2 sets
and went back down to 225 and did a burnout set on that
-cable flys 37lb and 42lb setting x 8-10 / 4 sets
-Tricep overhead
35lb down to 20lb 12 reps and 20lb-35lb 10-12reps
-tricep cable pull downs single hand and two hand
-angled tricep cable pulls 15-20lb setting x 12 / 4 sets

did ab workouts after that

i'll do dumbbell bench press to change it up but I try to change my workout activities every 2 weeks or so. I like trying new workouts.
