Be interesting to watch BA and airline stocks, in a morbid kind of way. Not that my portfolio isn't plenty morbid enough, LOL.

Soooooo, Italy is on lockdown with only grocery and pharmacies open. Italy is one of the canaries I have been watching for starting a global bond default. Just thought I would throw that nuke out there.
Crypto, which is backed by ...nothing... down 20%. I'm shocked. Crypto miners striking for better working conditions.

I think a recession is the direction we’re definitely headed. I don’t think people see this issue subsiding anytime soon. Our countries are going to great lengths to try and prevent the spreading of Corona, but I have a feeling it’ll still spread regardless of shutting down conferences and sporting events. Especially since we have those retard millennials who are balling out now that travel is cheap as shit. They’re broke as is so might as well travel while it’s cheap, ya know
I can tell you I am excited to buy up more stock in the company I work for due to this. We are getting busier by the day.

The deeper the drop makes me inclined to believe sharp V shape recovery. Next 2 quarters will be unpleasant.

same here. My companies open enrollment period was the start of this month. Their stocks were up $8 from when I started, now close to where it was when I first joined. On top of the 15% discount, it’s a steal. I set it up to dump 20% of my paycheck into it. Might as well when the markets in its current state.

Circuit breakers were put in place to keep humans in the loop and stop the computers from getting into a feedback loop.
You might have been too young but in 1987 it was black Monday that put the Dow down almost 23% in one day. After that terrible day the circuit breakers were put in so that kind of drop in one day did not happen again.

Yes, i was 5 or 6 then so i really dont remember too much about that then.
I just assumed when you stop a free market, it becomes manipulation.
