If you still want to try to make sense of the purchase, ask yourself what it did to the value of your R! You're welcome. As far as the deal going through, the money is wired and the paperwork has changed hands. And no, you won't find it listed on BAT in a few months. For those of you that want to check the Carfax in a few months, go ahead. Report back here what you find. You should spend more time with your wife and kids! And yes, it does come with the original exhaust.
Saleenrose and Goose17, you get it!
2014 & 15 was probably the beat time to jump on a 93R. Wrapper cars were going for $50K ish and cars with miles a lot less. I had an accepted Offer in car #104 with 86 mikes on it, but the Seller flaked on me and ended up selling the car to someone else for relative peanuts more than I offered. That was $50K. Now ....way more.
Considering I have owned #104 since 06, I am not sure about your offer. It also has 6600 miles on it.
I am glad we are realizing that when you grandma put plastic on everything, she did not know why she had done that.
Comment about spending time with the wife and kids was due to the fact I had a cancer scare 3 weeks ago. A small mole was diagnosed with melanoma. Follow up dye tests and surgery resulted in the additional skin removed (15" of stiches!) as well as lymph nodes. 10 days later I learned everything was benign except the initial removed mole. Life can change at any moment so guess what? Go hug your wife(s) and kids and then get everyone to a dermatologist.
I take delivery in about 2-3 days from AZ to WI (enclosed semi with ramp for $1700). Trade gets delivered Monday or Tuesday.

I look forward to meeting some of you!
We think alike in that regard. My 00R has roughly 1300 miles on the clock. It comes out for an occasional local romp. Each time it comes out, it is a fantastic experience. I would never daily drive mine or take it on a road trip. I like that it is pristine. Plus, if I drove it all the time, I’d become somewhat numb to how awesome it is!Congrats to the buyer; a 00R is a holy grail car for me. I might be in the minority of thinking when it comes to racking up miles on specialty cars though. I will use my Terminator as an example: it has low miles and driven on nice weekend days, and relatively short distances. I’m not “saving it for the next guy”, but as a car guy I feel like I am in a way preserving history. How great is it to see a nice 65 Mustang, or ‘70 Chevelle that hasn’t been driven to the moon and back?
I enjoy the ownership as much as the usage in cars like these. I like the act of preservation and care for other enthusiasts to enjoy, and sometimes envy. I do understand the want to drive and enjoy, which I do, but I would cringe at the thought of using it as a semi-daily driver, or even driving it on a long road trip.
I get that. You can't take it with you and if the kids are doing ok, spend some of it. My wife had a brain tumor 3 years ago, everything went fine and after 2 weeks she told me to go buy an R. So I flew to SC and bought a 2017 GT350R. Flew home that night and picked the car up a week later. Last June I took delivery of a 1966 GT350 race car that was on my bucket list. Looking for that GT as well. Enjoy everyone and everything now. Hope your wife gets better!I as well have had some life changing experiences, my wife of almost 30 years had a surgery that they claimed would not "I'll use the term, hurt her, and they almost killed her. " She has been in therapy for 4.5 years and I now take care of everything at home and our shop. I decided in 17 that money means nothing if you don't use it. When you are dead it is not going to be useful. I started buying those to things I thought I wanted and did not care what the price came out to be. GT350R, GT500CFTP, Porsche, I just need Ford GT now. But once this happens and you can afford it, do it. Hope you enjoy the R, I tracked mine for 14 years, great car.
Awesome! Congrats! The 00R is one of my 2 favorite Mustangs of all time! It’s a special car... you will enjoy the hell out of it!The R arrived Monday afternoon and is what I expected. There were a few cosmetic things I was not expecting, but overall I am happy with the purchase. I will be looking for some advice on a couple of things and a photo or two to get things back to where I want them. I had a 2003, 600 hp terminator for a short time and it was a blast. Only issue was the reach for the shifter.
