I wonder what the shelby pearl white and sonic blue stripes would look like.

I really liked the orange that you could get on the c6 corvettes. Also love that dark blue that was on the 2020ish ford trucks, "denim blue" or something like that?

Good God that black one... Wow.

And now I have to think about color. I've been scouring the web for color ideas. I had initially thought I'd do a really deep, dark green with a dark gray stripe, but the wife shot that down. The traditional blue is nice, but I would hate to get in the wrong car after a meet. There are some nice reds out there too. Opinions?

Well, you already know my train of thought on Bronze, Copper or Root Beer.

Here is a Bronzish/Goldish Torino done by Troy Trepanier. Complete with Halibrand wheels....

Here is a nice Copper.

I'm really liking the Root Beer. Imagine this with the bronzish color above as your stripes?????

And then with these wheels?? Pure awesomeness!!!!

Here is another custom done by Troy Trepanier. I like his color choices. I think this one won the Riddler.

You could always go way out there and do a fighter themed Cobra and pay tribute to the P-51. I think this one is cool as hell. And it's Green like you wanted LOL...

But, you know me. I will NEVER say no to a bitchen red.........

Damn, I'm ready to build the car for you ROFLMAO!!!!

This one is bad@$$ too..... Love the American flag style stripes.... Interior is cool too. Definitely not traditional.

What about 93 Cobra Teal?????

Damn dude, you're making the decision more difficult. ;)

That root beer color is gorgeous. Some of those cars have some really nice custom touches to them. Showed my wife that video and now she wants me to get Sparco seats.

Oh, and feel free to come up and build the car. I'll gladly let you paint it.

Your government is lying to you

LMAO!!! Sorry brother! Not trying to make it harder, just sharing what's wrapped up inside my head (sorry @BOOGIE MAN , but great minds think alike LOL).

LMAO, if we were closer I definitely wouldn't mind helping you turn some wrenches and spray it :p(y)...

Lmao! That's what I was thinking... $44K for an engine?? Love that engine, but no way I'm paying that much for an engine.

I believe Roush was asking around $25K for their 427IR (don't know now. Link says call for price lol). The 427IR is their stack set up. I built mine for less than $25K and that includes the Kindig air filters.

As someone on said,”Speed costs, how fast do you want to go?”

Realistically, anything with the Shelby name attached is overpriced but damn, that would be a great power plant for one of these

That's true Bullitt. I'm not one to shy away from spending money, but I have a little more than the cost of that engine in my 65 build LOL.

I hear you. Anything with the Shelby name on it commands additional funds to obtain it LOL... Hell, I even placed the Shelby name on my 65 as well. I'll never pass it off as a Shelby, but it's cool to have his name on my car.:giggle:.....

Doesn’t “Call for price” mean “We need to try to explain the high price”?

I refuse to do business with people who say call for price. Lol

I was actually thinking of going with stacks. Don't they make a fuel injected type?

Your government is lying to you
Yes sir they sure do. Mine is an EFI set up. It's from Borla.

Choose your weapon LOL.

If you go this route you will have to call Borla to place your order. Your system will come with the Holley Terminator X computer system. I also "HIGHLY" recommend you also get the dual synch distributor (if you go pushrod motor). This takes the place of a cam and crank sensor and allows the Terminator X to control your timing. Very cool kit.

BUT..... It ain't cheap............ I think my kit cost around $6,500 for everything and I think I placed that order back in late 2020. not sure what it costs now.

By the way Wizbang, I hope you know I'm going to live in this thread LMAO!!!!

I shop for things I can’t afford all the time. I’m not going to win the megabillions and end up overpaying for my jet and my mountain chalet.

I hope you do live in this thread. It will be awhile before I get actual pictures up, but I can always use, and welcome, suggestions.

Not meaning to hijack this thread but given unlimited funds, I would build an polished aluminum bodied Superformance with one of the above aluminum engine with the 8 stack fuel injection system

Oof, the aluminum-block 600ci Kaase Boss'9 I'm putting in my 69 Mustang is over 15K cheaper and makes 830hp/810lb-ft.

SIdenote for OP, that would make a nice engine for one of these Cobras!

I have eyeball the JK motor I think it might be too wide for the Cobra. I have not actually taken measurements from an example of each though. That will be pretty darn sweet in your’69 btw. Is 830hp n/a?

I remember when Stacey David put one of those boss 9's in a cougar. Awesome build, would like to do the same myself.
