You said you will be in Baytown this weekend? For Fun Ford Weekend? Maybe we can meet in person? Me and a buddy with his 08' Gt500 will be out there.

Lol that wasn't my intentions at all, But I do the same. And I don't doubt one bit you didn't run what you said and I know the GT500 with a few bolt ons is a beast but the 5.0 isn't grandma's grocery getter.

Oh trust me I know the 5.0 is no granny grocery getter :-D 412+ hp from the factory in any trim is no slouch. With just a few bolt-ons you can easily eclipse 400 rwhp and have an 11 second daily driver.

I'm just get tired of some 5.0 owners thinking they have a GT500 killer in stock trim.

Well said, the 5.0 is a great car but it's going to take a blower and 10-12 psi to run with big brother on the highway.;-)

Actually a blown 5.0 would eat up a stock GT500. A couple of my friends have TVS and they run 10.8 @ 127.

By his comment I assumed he was talking about a modded GT500. That would just be crazy to think it would take a blown 5.0 to beat a gt500 stock.

Yes, but any other basic bolt-on wouldn't be enough.

You are correct, I was talking about a basic bolt-on GT500. Most of the guys in this section aren't racing stock cars. I've ran more 5.0s than any other cars since that seems to be the norm by me. Even when I was stock a bolt-on 5.0 CAI/Exhaust/tune still loses by a couple cars from a low roll. An auto 5.0 from a dig would be a good match though.
