Thanks man, want to do it right the first time around! I certainly cant complain about this weather either, so nice!
No shit, it was hotter than hell at Fabulous Fords and the weather is perfect in AZ.

It's coming together nice... If those little things are the only problems you have your doing good lol
Looking good!
Damn! Can't wait to get my engine in so I can see everything come together finally! Keep up the good work
Dat bike doe!
And no one will notice the paint from the awe of everything else. Leave it.
Awesome Build!!!
I have a 83GT that I gutted and converted to a drag car 25 years ago then retired it from racing about 10 years ago, I've been wanting to restore it and just can't seem to get motivated.
I may use your build as motivation and for some ideas.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice work. Seeing you post these pictures makes me so happy that I've already got this done. It was the most time consuming part of my build too. That and trying to be careful not to scratch my new paint lol.
Had the same issue when I switched from 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" Kooks long tubes. Made some relief cuts and angle bent each end of the original brace approximately 20 degrees and got longer bolts with thicker washers to clearance my headers. I didn't like how close to the ground the brace was after setting the car back down and ended up leaving it off.the one bummer is the k member bottom brace won't clear my headers so I will have to make a custom brace.

I'd really like to see what you end up doing with your custom brace if you go that route. And hopefully it'll be easy to make a second one for my car!
