2.8 or 2.9

I want to get a pullie very some i don't know which one i should go with a 2.8 or a 2.9 i have 443 HP and 421 TQ and i run 12.4 at 116 with out pullie now i want to get a pullie and i have no idea which one and what power each one will bring me to. Plz Help :shrug:

There both going to be right around the same... The 2.8 may give you like 4-5more hp and maybe 10tq over the 2.93. Nothing your going to feel. What are your mods now?

I have an 03 10thAnn
1.JLP forced air intake
2.magmaflow x pipe and cat's
3. JLP flip chip
4.Solid rear with B/F & steeda short shifter

I put Down 443 HP and 421 TQ

i keep running 12.4 with 2.0 60Foot and i trap at 116
is that what i should be running.

2.8 or 2.9 HELP Some number's plz

Give me a couple of days.I have a 2.93 on the wife's car and mine has the 2.80,but its getting tuned right now.We have the same mods only differance being the upper pulley.Hers ran a 11.9@119 on Dr's.

You hardly have any mods and put some good numbers.. My old numbers were 440/460 with a 2.93. Best time is 12.1@118 without the E.T. Streets. Sence then I have added a 2.80, ported plenum, and leaned out my a/f. You should be alot faster out of the hole with a solid axle

With the 2.93 I put down 451hp 471tq. I was a little shocked when I put the 2.76 on and put down 469hp and 517tq. :rolling:

Just get a HUB system from billetflow or SFPH, you can buy both the 2.8 and 2.93 and then test them out for yourself and see which one your car responds to best. Best way to go... Thats the route i went

yo bandit i have a question what hp did you put down before the pullie cause i put 443 hp and 421 tq and i have no pullie i think it's good.

Bro Our internals are forged, the engine was made for boost. A 2.80/2.76 will not blow the engine with a tune. You will see about 13-15psi. People run whipples and Kenny bells at 21psi, thats a hell of alot more then the 2.80 pulley will ever produce! Lightings come stock with 2.93, so these small pulleys are nothing the engine cant handle, if anything goes it will be the bearings in the blower, but that wont be for a longgg time!

Well I just picked my car up today.Mine and my wife's cars have the same mods,The only differance is I am running the 2.80 and she is running the 2.93.I would stay with the 2.93 if it was me.I ran her from a 60 mph in 3rd gear and we were dead even until 4th then I pulled her just a bit.I think this was due to me shifting faster then her.After driving both cars hers just feels better up top.I really can't explain it her car just feels smoother and pulls a little harder up top then mine does.We use the same dyno and the same tuner hers put down 464rwhp 497rwtq mine put down 460rwhp and 515rwtq.I hope this helps you.

I never dynoed it before the mods. I had the car 2 weeks when I decided to mod it. Looks like you got a good start.
