Bruce,
I changed the format of your list a little to make it easier to read. Hope you don't mind?

Brian, if you're going to edit the posts, how 'bout you just update the info in John or Bruce's first post so we don't have to look at the end for updates??? :poke:

Or... Bruce, would you care to copy and paste into your first post and keep the running update there?

And yes, I'm lazy.

SVTOA Great Lakes should try to schedule dates in the Fall. The weather is much more reasonable (based on the last few years). Scheduling Gingerman in the dead-center of July is just asking for a nasty cooking session. It was rather unpleasant this year.

Nope. If you want to start it and maintain it, I will make it sticky, John.

Can anyone answer this 2006 schedule question I have?

After visiting the AV8SS web site and viewing their 2006 schedule, I noticed they have a listing for Gingerman at the same time in September as the SCMC event? (9,23&24-2006)

AV8SS schedule

http://www.av8ss.com/schedule1.htm

Does this mean there's a chance of the Cobra "R" challenge being there?

Bruce,
AV8SS is teaming up with SCMC at CMP in March as well as Gingerman in Sept. Like Mark mentioned, there is no comittment on where the R meet will be yet.

No Problem. I'll just sit on my hands until then?

Can we vote on the Cobra R reunion track, or is that asking too much? :poke: :read: :-D

I wish someone would post a poll based on their knowledge of the different options.

I assume it would need to be in conjunction with an AV8SS, SCMC, or SVOTA event due to track-time availibility? I'd assume that SAAC and NASA are out since they have little additional track-time available?

You can't wait much longer as the season starts here in January in Sebring and an event at Homestead in Febuary.

I can make it to any track with enough warning of the date and schedule.

Merry Christmas!! i would be in favor of voting and go along with the majority. i would like to see a 3 day weekend if possible. that may alter my vote depending upon what track has friday open. it makes the trip really worth it. Scott

It will be at one of the AV8SS races if we want to have a Cobra R race again? I believe SCMC would add to the(cobra R class) prize money if we held the R meet at one of the paired events (CMP or Gingerman). I will call Dan and see what is happening with the rest of the schedule.

If we don't care about having the Cobra R race again, then we can pick any event.

I emailed Dan with AV8SS and here is his reply:

"We are definately going to have the 2nd annual Cobra R invitational. I hope to have the schedule completed before Christmas. We can then decide on where we want to have it. The 4 additional possibilities include Nelson Ledges, VIR, Mid-Ohio or Barbers. I am waiting to hear from all of them. I hope to get 3 of those 4 and then we can pick from the 8 events on the schedule. Does that work for you guys?"

Hopefully you all can wait for a few weeks before we take a poll?

Brian
