Saw this on another forum, thought id pass on the info:

4,253 Ford Shelby GT500 produced for the 2009 model year.

Convertibles for 2009 - 550
Coupes for 2009 - 3,703

total production comes to 23,600 cars in three years.

If the average sale cost $50,000 thats 1.1 billion dollars in sales.

It's actually better that they build a lot of them. Ensures a good supply of parts and aftermarket :rockon:

I think the Challenger and Camaro are going to be built in low numbers. Not something I would want to own

2009 Shelby GT500 Coupe: Perf White

I just ordered my 2009 Certs., and the guy at Ford Performance told me the following:
My vehicle Production date: 12/12/08
Number 2984 out of 3004 Coupes (2009)
Number 649 out of 651 Performance White

I guess I'm at the tail end of production for 2009 model year.

Maybe they're just putting the official report together at this time.

If what I was told today about my 09', then it looks like there were only 3004 coupes built.

Add 500 or so verts, and it would be around 3500 total.

That would be much less then the numbers mentioned at the start of this thread:
