I took my assist spring out 2 months ago and have not had it stick to the floor since. Only difference for me was that it's harder to hold the pedal down for long periods of time and now the pedal is a little sloppy on the top inch.

I took mine out at the track after almost every run I made, the clutch spring stuck. The very next pass it stuck again, accept now the pedal was super heavy to push down. Big mistake.
I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work for you. I took my car to the track last night for the first time and it never stuck. I was shifting around 7,100-7,200. Maybe the GT500 pedal assembly will work for you or maybe a twin disc clutch? Hope you get it worked out.
where can i get a gt500 pedal assembly?
A 2011-2012 GT500 pedal assembly is $128.79 plus shipping and we can have them in 2-3 days.

If you remove the helper spring from the OEM pedal, you basicly have it. Also if you have a later 2011 or 12 you already also have them.
I'm pretty sure that's not true! I have a 2012 and I still have the extra spring. Haven't been able to remove it either. The pin on mine is in there good and I'm really afraid of breaking something
Thats what lethal performance told me over the phone. They are the ones that came up with this fix. And you will be fine, just pry the white top piece towards the outside of the car and the whole thing will pop off. I did it in the staging lanes at my local drag strip with a multitool.
Took my 2012 GT/CS this morning for oil change and the pedal fix. I'll let you know what they say. I'm wondering if ford has done anything new for this issue.

Are you all stock? I don't remember ever running into the problem of the clutch sticking to the floor until I changed my rev limit above the 6800 stock rev limit with the tune. I can see where ford would say that the car was designed too rev to 6800 and if you choose to make your car rev higher, than any problems you have caused by that will be your own to deal with.
I have a cold air intake and SCT tuner.
Ford gave me the car back last night. They couldn't duplicate the problem and will not fix it until they can. I told them about the TSB, and they said that it for cars made before 4/25/2010. My car was made 12/19/2011. The service writer said those issues should have been taken care of before your car was made. I said well it happens, so someone needs to talk to ford about this. I also mentioned that in the mustang on-line communitties that it's still a wide spread issue. At that point I felt like I'm talking upon deaf ears. I like the dealer and I get 11.75 oil changes for life, since I bought the car there, so I just left.
It's only happen to me twice since I've owned it. If it happens again I will call and bitch some more.

Thanks for the GT500 pedal assembly Steve. Just to give you a heads up this is the post where you quoted $128. You charged me $178. You might want to edit your post. Thanks again. Spencer:beer:
I did take the spring off but don't like the way the pedal feels.
