Hell I daily drive a Whipple 2.9L Gen 3 using a 3.0” upper and IW 15% lower. Planning to run 2.75” upper when I build the short-block. “Spin that smoke-wagon and see what happens!”

Another factor I asked for to be added was pedal angle. The TVS had severe traction issues (lots of pedaling) whereas the Whipple did not.

New vid from VMP...………...wonder if the owner is a member here:

Makes sense. Near identical setup to my 2013 except no Boostane and Whipple Gen 3 2.9L. W Twinjet 67mm TB I’m also ~ 780rwhp but on pure pump 93 at 16 degrees of timing and 18 - 19psi. Both good blowers. Splitting hairs really just pick which one pleases you aesthetically.

Very impressive!
I'll be joining the 4-digit TVS club in the next few weeks.
I'm expecting solid dyno numbers, but the focus on my car is getting a solid 9.xx pass on the true street manual trans combo.
We will see at Mod Nats.
I plan on using a 15%/2.5 to start and then likely 2.4 upper.
10.009@145 Gen 2R with stock brakes an 17" DOTs.
I haven't seen an SAE Dynojet of their 2.3 but mine is also a ported BPS version on a 15/2.5% with 965rwhp SAE without ice in the tank at 23-24* timing.
Dyno numbers are fun, but I hope Lund brings it to Mod Nats.
Car also has an NX spray bar in the lower intake for NOS but never installed.
Amazing results from a 2.65 TVS, great job to all involved!

Sure with a wagon wheel 3.25” upper pulley! Like running the 100 meters w steel toed work boots. Put at least a 2.75” upper pulley on the Whipple 2.9L and then let’s compare.

I think your failing to see the 20% lower. His main rotor speed on that Whipple is 20k rpm, 32K for his small rotor. Not maxed out yet but at 95% of its max RPM.

A better analogy is like running 100m dash at 95% speed.
