What's your launch technique with the R888s?
Been looking for an excuse to run them and just bought a '93 Cobra that will be a daily non winter driver, planning to running the Toyos.

That would of been a 10 second pass in the fall for sure. DA was around 1500 ft above sea level. I love the Toyos, they are the perfect street tire for this car. I'll be getting another set when these wear out. For the strip, I want some light weight 18 inch rims with mickey thompsons for some extra grip. I reved to about 3k rpms and slipped the clutch while quickly rolling into about half throttle. As soon as it grabbed, I quickly rolled into the rest of the throttle.

So I just installed 3.73 gears and M/T dr, I sure could use some guidance on how to launch at the track. Tire pressure, launch mode, rpm, ... please help! Other modes in sig.

I've never had my 15" Mickey Pros above 17 or 18 psi for a pass. Keep em low. Keep the fronts at like 40psi. Turn all trac control off by pressing down the brake and then holding the traction button by the shifter for what seems like an eternity. RPM you just have to play with and see what hooks/blows the tires off etc. Search this forum for a lot of strip tips. Tons of info here.

I made it to the track today, car #640.

This year I've only added a 2.39" upper pulley to what I already had setup and so far managed to take off .2 seconds off my time. The left time slip was from eliminations. It didn't matter that I broke out on my dial in. This is my best 60' time too and it felt that way during the run.

When you mention 4 tenths away from the 9's it ALMOST makes me want to do more mods... haha.
