It was nice yesterday - sunny, getting close to 50 degrees. Salt dust almost non-existent. So I got her out, drove her a bit, brought her back into the garage and detailed away. Great therapy! First Caffeine and Chrome of the year next Saturday.... IF the weather cooperates. I always smile when I drive out GT500.
Still love mine as if it was the first day I bought it. Such a fun car to drive, and still gets many compliments on Sunday drives.
I was initially disappointed with the 14 when it was delivered, hp & gears.
Within 9 months, everything I considered a shortcoming was addressed, & then some.
My 11 is long gone, & the 14 isn't going anywhere !!

I definitely related. I only made it probably 2-3miles from the dealer when I decided it needed gears and DRs. Kept it stock for 600miles then….

What shocked me, were the disaster of the tires.
I got quite a scare trying feel out the cars performance. Bolt on's and tires fixed it up.

Agreed but those were 110% used for magazine/journalist likes. The stock tires when warm on a warm track will handle pretty well. Now on a 60deg morning going WOT on the on ramp will try and kill you. True story.

When I traded in my GT for my GT500 the dealership had replaced the tires and the rears were pirelli all seasons. What a joke for a 600 whp car, lol. Luckily I had a set of 305/40R18 555RII's to swap them out with. Pics were after I got her ceramic coated. Can't wait for spring.

My purchase trip home it was 63* out. Car cabin was hot and warm with glass roof screen open and no heater on. 134 miles of interstate 2 and 3 lane travel
Coming off an "11 with a VMP Gen2R and 3:73's, the 13 had many short comings. But the hood and wheels made up for it temporarily and the rest has been addressed.
A once in a lifetime experience that unfortunately, not all get to write about.
