Bill Warner and Wild Bros Racing make history at 8:40am with a 311 MPH blast in Loring, Maine. Bill's personal quest to be the first man in history to break 300 MPH on a sit-on style motorcycle has been recognized.

IMO this hardly counts as a busa. I mean dont get me wrong, 311 on/in ANYTHING takes balls the size of water melons. But IIRC the standing mile record was in the 260's or 270's on a stock body busa. Maybe it just me but an over all top speed of 311 on a "bullet" isn't THAT OMG impressive.

311mph on something like that is deff OMG impressive judging by how fast youd die if it decides to tip

Do you have ANY idea what it takes to go even 1 mph faster at those speeds?

So, what would be impressive then?

Congrats to Bill on that amazing run. Thanks to Got-Cobra? for posting the info on Bill's 278mph record fastest street bike record. I just cannot imagine 278mph on any bike, let along his 300mph pass. Huge nerves to do that for sure.

Here is a vid clip of Bill's 278 mph run.

[nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BT2JjzHa-c"]‪278.6mph, 448.36km/h, Worlds Fastest Turbo Charged Hayabusa Streetbike. On-board Video‬‏ - YouTube[/nomedia]

So let's put some thinking into this. Street Hayabusa with 650 hp and custom body work has run 311 mph from a standing start in 1.5 miles. A Bugatti Veyron takes close to 3 miles to get to 267 with 1200 hp. What would it take for the world'd fastest car to do 311 mph?
