Well at least that dark cloud has a silver lining.

People always blame the guy in office when their wallet starts hurting.

Goodbye Obama!

What I do not understand is how some of the smartest people in the world fail time and time again to learn the lessons taught to us by history.

There will always be a tipping point to where the people that have too much are brought down by the ones with nothing.

I am not a socialist, communist, or any other ist for that matter. The main thing the "haves" have not understood or at least comprehended in the last twenty years is that technology, and thereby information, is going to prevent the continuation of their hoarding. Or at least put a cap on it.

I guess they still haven't answered the question; how much is enough?

When the the economy not doing so bad gas prices go up. Atleast in recent history.

I know there where some other contributing factors, but I don't give a damn what anyone says, the economy went bad a couple of years ago when gas prices skyrocketed. You can say the economy was on a decline, and blah, blah, blah, but when the economy really took a dump was when the gas prices suddenly shot up to $4.00+ a gallon.

Lets hope we don't have a repeat of the second half of 2008.

Exactly it was one of the major contributing factors. If gas gets up to $5.00 for shit gas I'm not going anywhere and won't spend a dime on anything but necessities. I was watching TV and it said that we use 20 million barrels a day in the US but only produce 7 million, whereas we use to produce 10 million. You would think we would be producing more oil not less, but then again that would make sense and produce jobs in the US to drill oil, why would we do that?!?!?!

I wish someone would track how many times they've been wrong with these predictions in the last 3-5 years.

Everyone is focused on gasoline and cars. Carefully consider that if gasoline gets to $5.00+ a gallon and remains there, next winter will be a crisis year for many people who heat their homes with oil. Because many would not be able to afford the oil. People can certainly drive less to save gasoline costs, but you cannot do much more as far as conserving heating oil costs. Not when you already have your thermostat set to 60-61 degrees at night and 63-64 during the times you're moving about in the house like I and many are already doing.

The economy is still in the crapper, so this is going to hurt everyone. Expect the prices of groceries and all merchandise to go up accordingly if this happens.

Anyway, I'll still enjoy my 12 MPG daily driver.

You can only squeeze the middle class so hard before we all run for the gun cabinet.
We shoulda a long time ago.
We out number them atleast 20 to 1.
I say anyone making over 1 million a year, and spending anything under half that, dead man walking.
They don't want a class war, they have money, but we have knowledge and numbers.
