I am thinking of adding a cowl hood to give me a little more clearance for "future" upgrades to my motor. I am not nor will not do lower motor mounts.
Currently have a notch on my hood for the KB 2.8
I dont recall seeing anyone running a cowl hood!

Thanks Steve! Is that the 2.5 incher?

no clue. just know he had to to clear the blower. i think he plans on doing the griggs dropped kmember so he can put the stock hood back on eventually. he didnt really care for that look either. but he got the blower for free so he was willing to for the time being.

I like cowl hoods. Not too big though. 2 1/2 to 3 inch. Also i like the ones that are rounded in the front. I was checking with a fab guy i know. About making my stock hood into a cowl hood. He said it wouldn't be hard to do. The reason behind making the stock hood into a cowl is. The weight of fiberglass hoods. Its not much more, but i'm a weight watcher. We figure out if in was done in aluminum. It would only add a few pounds. I'm just not ready yet. But when i am. I believe that's the way I'll go. JMO Do it they look cool.

I like the factory hoods more then all the other aftermarket hoods except the SS hood. Just lower the motor, and throw some TF hood vents on it
