Don't people change trans fluid to improve shifting characteristics?
I stick with OEM fluids. Been working good so far.

So,....let's get the skinny here.
Are there going to be a "limited" amount of GT500 cars built? If so, why would Ford do it that way? (Serious question.)
Thanks Nick. Just wondering.I don't have any information on that.
It's good for PR.
Thanks Nick. Just wondering.
I look at the ZL1 and the Z06 and they don't have limited availability, making it easier to obtain the car someone may want.
Makes sense Nick. Thanks for clearing that up.The Z06 and ZL1 will also sit on lots longer, then be sold at steep discounts; much like their predecessors.
Ford has always dominated the domestic market on exclusivity of their 'performance' brands. Surprisingly, the first gen Raptor is probably the best example.
HA HAAAAAAAALongest () ever haha
Hey guys...I have my DEMON Vin# and waiting for my beast to arrive. I wanted a GT500 but just got tired of the wait / lack of news. Seriously, I've been blowing GT350s away in my Hellcat now for 2 years and I didn't think Ford would take this long. I had a 2010 GT500 and loved it for all it's charm and wow back then...Gosh, remember when 540bhp was like OMG!!!! Course the car was like 48K. Now the prices are going insane.
Does anyone really think the new GT500 will be able to outrun a Demon on race gas? I for one think the Demon is amazing, but it's also a lot of marketing hype. No way people see times they are bragging about on the street. Car is hard enough to hook up on a prepped track with drag radials.
But let's picture this scenario...Demon and new GT500 are both rolling at 30mph and gun it. You really think the Ford will walk on the Demon? Or pull harder?
Lastly...we've been hearing "very soon" now for years. Enough already. Just launch the car.
The new GT500 is not a direct competitor to the Demon. The GT500 will be aimed at the ZL1 1LE.
Let's picture this scenario....Demon and new GT500 are both rolling at 135mph and about to stand on the brakes go through a left/right chicane, come out floored, stand on the brakes to go around a hairpin and floor it for the remainder of the lap. You really think the Demon would be close to the GT500? I bet not.
The Demon is a straight-line, drag car. The new GT500 will not be.
Yeah and ZERO kids around the world dream about that scenario. God...nobody really cares about TRACK times. They care about 1/4 mile times in America.
I don't get it. Isn't the GT350 Ford's track car? And the R is the beast mode of it? So now they will make a better track car to do what? Destroy the resale value of the GT350s and what lap tracks faster than the Camaro but get it's ass handed to it on the street by the DEMON?
What happened to Ford? Shelby's were the KING OF THE ROAD, not the KING OF THE TRACK. And for those thinking the Demon doesn't handle, it actually breaks better than a VIPER ACR and has .99Gs of lateral grip
