Are there any links to pics of the various colors available? Car looks nice....My only complaint is Ford's typical pizza cutter sized wheel/tire combos. Otherwise, aside from that and the overal weight, I like it! Price markups are gonna be nasty for the first little while!

With a factory rating of 475 it looks like 420-430rwhp will be a realistic #. I'll bet money it won't be 450-460 like some guessed.

if the gt500 is underrated by the same percentage the 03 was underrated we will be looking at 440-460 rear wheel horsepower on the gt500.

does anyone know if the weight that they quoted is with all the options? hence 3920-75=3845lbs. one can hope. :shrug:

3920 lbs! Ouch. Even if the car dynos at 440rwhp. It would be roughly about 70 hp more than the previous Cobra. But the 03/04 Cobras were almost 300 lbs less, and had a better final gear ratio. Stock vs stock it may be a close race. With the 07 winning.
I got rid of my 03 Cobra in anticipation for this car. I like this new car, but not enough to buy it. Damn.

Dont' feel bad, I did the same thing. Probably should have kept it, no use crying about it now. I'm just going to wait until I can see some performance figs before I make any decisions.

i also heard of a stock 03 hitting 382. but you will agree that there will be a wide of stock dyno's on every car. there are just too many variables.
and like i posted earlier if the gt500 is underrated by the same percentage as the 03(range of 360-380rwhp stock) the stock gt500 will be hitting 440-460 on the rollers.

I hope you're right. I'm already thinking of things to do to take some weight off the car. Adding more ponies should be easy.

It might be reasonable to take the 475HP figure at face value until proven wrong. This would be around 400RWHP and close to dead heat with the 03/04s.

You're nuts or just plain jealous :lol: , this car is miles ahead of 03-04's. I can promise you that this car will be 500hp at the crank, and it will totally embarrass or humiliate any 03-04 archaic chasis Cobra. The only thing you 03-04 is gonna see every time are the talilights on my GT500, baby.

even though the viper kinda fell flat, it'll still easily beat the GT500. More power and lighter weight.

Nice looking car, it's gonna need every bit of that 475 to run 11's right outta the box like many predicted.
