They call Shelby guys fanbois. You have to be ****ing mental to buy a German performance car KNOWING your repair bills are going to be frequent and astronomical.Best thing about German cars is that they pay for my GT350. Great cars, but you have to have deep pockets when they come off warranty.

You arent wrong. But I will say that compared to German cars, Corvette parts are probably STILL much more simplistic (even DI) and cheaper. labor may go up, but I would be surprised if there werent access panel built in etc.Same thing can be said about this psudo Ferrari that Chevy has now brought out. I guarantee that what would only be maybe a couple of hundred dollars to replace a timing chain, water or oil pump for a previous Vette is going to be thousands now. Great when you have a warranty but out of it not so much.
There is a huge difference between saying "we hit the limit of our production capability" and "we are only making X number in certain configurations for a total of X we are producing".I thought it was limitless? That’s why everyone was complaining about the GT500 and limited availability.

This kid is a bit annoying, but the vid gives you a pretty good close up look at the C8.
I saw this video but I couldn't watch it because of him
he's definitely an annoying little ****....
What kills be about Zer Germanz is they have historic issues that go back 30 years and just refuse to fix. Plastic Water Pumps, VAIOS issues that require a whole new head when it fails, window regulators, subframe cracks, airbags leaks, fiber optic stereos, Coil Packs, MAF sensors, electrical systems so bleeding edge they fail and cost thousands. They call Shelby guys fanbois. I bet you that whole power pack just drops out the back like a Fierro and if will be even cheaper and easier to work on.
And the shit these guys accept as normal. My old e39 v8, cooling system replacement every 80-100k. Entire system. These ****s think it's normal.V10 M5 and V8 M3, rod bearing replacement is standard maintenance at 65k miles.

My G55 - ignition failure, Common problem, $1,500 to swap out a cheap Chinese part and flash the Ecu.
Another Benz failure is the steering column lock, the motor fries and you basically have to replace the column. $$$$ (or the DIY of remove the column, grind the welds, cut the lock, get a aftermarket motor, soder the wires, test the voltage, bolt in the former welds and reinstall and hope the EIS recognizes the motors voltage range and doesn't lock down the Ecu)
Legit Street Cars on YouTube, guy does a great job and is a huge Benz fan. But it's assining the amount of stupid fixes he has to do on what are 10 year old cars.
Euro cars should only be leased.
@Tob posted it elsewhere. It's high.Do we even know the member of CF wheels that can be produced each year?
As a technician Id be scared as hell to replace tires on a CF wheel. Break the beads on the old tires? *dies*Do we even know the member of CF wheels that can be produced each year?

yeah no shit...I busted tires down one summer when I was in Highschool at Discount. Was nerve racking enough with a nice custom forged wheel...could not imagine doing this on a CF wheel worth thousands.

Sorry haters, the C8 is goddamn sick. The whole thing including the interior and rear end. The center console buttons do not look bad at all in this video.
I will drive the piss out of my c7z and plan on the c8z when it arrives.
