Deleted Threads?

This was a misunderstanding, and has been taken care of. Hermann's account was reinstated this morning before 9am central.

It had nothing to do with sales, Hermann was not advertising. Larry banned Hermann's account because he felt that Hermann was attacking a supporting vendor,which turned out to not be the case. After Hermann and I talked...everything was straightened out.

I have learned much from the members here just as many others have, and would like to continue to do so; however, situations such as this post are disturbing. I'm sure most of us would agree that Hermann was a valuable assest to this board. Maybe it would be possible to inquire to the person in question before taking actions to ban members and delete threads, as opposed to just banning/deleting and then finding information. If so many steps are in place to quickly dismiss someone from the board, then I believe that just as many steps should be taken before they are dismissed from the board. In retrospect, the situation probably could have been avoided.

Well ive seen the Mods control this forum pretty good :thumbsup:
Ive seen alot of patients on some of them & im glad they give the boot some times. Keeps the trolls & tools out.

Rather have a community that is mature enough to appreciate what we have INSTEAD OF some one who likes to stir things up ;-)

I think it is too easy to say we have Mods with itchy trigger fingers. No matter what, no matter how much of a "regular" you are, we are all guests here. You have the Admin, the Mods, then us. We have to abide by their rules, and i think they are VERY fair. There are a couple of threads that i would have shut a long time ago, but they let the flow of ideas go and sometimes it resolves itself. This is the only board where there is a real sense of community, not just Ford guys, not just car people either. I go to Roadside more than anywhere now, it is a real plethora or ideas, and active communication. Where else can you talk about buying a new car, getting real ideas on how to mod it, then ask for advice from LEO's on how not to go straight to jail after being caught racing. Overall, this place is what the internet should be.

Agreed Dave - this board is very mature, there's very little chest-thumping going on and LOTS of useful information. Tons of on-topic posts, and seperate sections for those of us who just want to shoot the shit.

Hey I got my treads deleted because I wanted to see more hot women detailing cars , and the mods told me I was beating a dead horse.Now who here doesnt appreciate a beutiful car and a piece of art for a women?I believe there is censoring on this board and I have looked to other boards because of that.Oh and one other tread that was deleted was my vette trolls tread , I think maybe there is some arrogance on this board.

But such as life :shrug: Life has its RULES that i can break or change so why do u think the Forums are any different?

SVT PERFORMANCE structure is perfectly fine with me. Looked at others & they still cant beat this forum. Bunch of Terds running around & u have some Mods who act like little girls I/O standing up to certain situation & controlling it.

As for the Vette thing, come on. How many times can we have a piss war of what is better or not? Id loss my patients with it as well if i was a Mod.

If ur not going to rock the boat, whats the stress all about? Opinions are Opinions but u have some folks just beating it down to some one which isnt cool.

I love hot women just as much as any other guy... However, I feel that this forum is the wrong place for it. We have alot of members here that browse from work. I know many smaller companies do not care about their employee's internet usage, but there are some larger organizations who closely monitor it and will block access to those sites that contain ANY sort of pornographic content.

IMO a Mod has a difficult, and under-appreciated job. Respecting the exclusive-advertising rights of our sponsors benefits everyone. It's a fine line between interpreting, and honoring commercial rights, and freedom-of-speech.

I think Larry is particularly good at keeping the peace on this forum. When technical threads which interest me, digress (infrequently) to verbal assaults, I leave the forum.

IMO The Terminator is the best all-round Cobra technical site on the internet. Hermann has helped The Terminator achieve this status. His technical depth, and passion for the Cobra makes this forum a better place.
