It=f you can get ahold of the right person they will fix it. How many new Fords have you bought over the years?
I've seen a couple emails, made a couple calls and it seems to keep coming back to "perforation"
My local dealer sucks and thus I bought the car 1,000 miles away where it was $2,500 cheaper.
Here's after their tape test. Now that whole area is rusty.
Other areas:
Recently I've noticed this:
That's the lip of the hatch where it seems rust is just coming through somehow.
Plus there's a large plastic panel that houses the license plate lights. Seems on both sides of that, it's rubbed the paint off the hatch as well.
Ready for the worst one? I only noticed this like 6 months back. If you close the hatch only halfway, seems the paint if also peeling on the lip leading up to the roofline too.
So, when can we expect Hameedi and Nair to come back?To say Hackett was a uniquely destructive force is wildly underselling it.
Pretty much every negative descriptor you can think of fits. Thank God finally the pressure was enough to get him the **** out.
He may have wiped out half the value of the company, but the damage is a lot deeper than that.
THIS.Plaster it all over their media feeds with pertinent info in a nice way and let it run its course. Willing to bet someone will take notice and act, but sadly to say that is the state of their CS now. The ONLY reason we got anything fixed in this area is because we have a fleet of Fords and the dealer/Ford doesn’t want to lose our business. As it stands, we’ve already started the switch. Ford can pound sand.
And how many of your Fords did you buy new? Ford won't be crying over you if you purchased used Fords all your life.It pains me to say this about them, btw. I've owned more Fords over the years than any other brand (3 Cobras, Mach 1, 2 GT's) but no way in hell I would think about buying another at this point. I literally have zero faith in them.

I’m assuming Hackett was far worse than Mark Fields...To say Hackett was a uniquely destructive force is wildly underselling it.

I meant that Ford doesn't care if you bought a '03-4 Cobra or Mach 1 in the past 5 years. You say that, but if the used market isn’t worth shit then it negatively impacts new values and severely undercuts pricing. Who wants to buy a vehicle that isn’t worth anything in a couple years and is hard to get rid of? Do you think they promote those slogans for no reason?
Not as much as when someone buys a new Ford. But it doesn't hurt either. That's one more car on the road with their logo. Maybe the previous owner did not drive it as much? Seeing a 15-20 year old Ford in good condition on the road is a plus for Ford marketing wise. More than it is a negative.I meant that Ford doesn't care if you bought a '03-4 Cobra or Mach 1 in the past 5 years.

Absolutely.I’m assuming Hackett was far worse than Mark Fields...
Ford doesn't care about the residual value of a car made more than 1.5 decades ago. And an '03 Cobra has zero effect on the current 2020+ Mustang values. He needs to remember values are dictated by previous sales as well. Whether dealer, wholesale or private they get reported and determine future values.
"IF" you get a hold of the right person - lol. How many persons is "the right person"?
Not to tee-off on you Travis, but that's not true. I've purchased 8 brand new Ford's since '85. ZERO is the number of times the dealers asked how many I've purchased Ford's in the past to determine "IF" they'll fix a questionable issue.
Serious question: Why should Customer service be based on previous purchases?
Today's Customer Service at Ford is poor. When they moved it from Texas to Florida, or vice versa, I forget which, it went in the shitter.
Thank God the local Ford Service Manager went out on a limb to help me turn-off the auto-door locks on my '20 Mustang and didn't charge me $75. What an adventure that was. Dealership that sold me the car, also a "Roush" dealer, couldn't even tell me how to disable it - LOL.
I bought and installed hood struts from Ford Performance on my brand new '20 Mustang GT - lol. Had to uninstall and return them after the passenger side strut crushed my winshield wiper washer tubing. I had already spent 2-3 hours fixing their 2018 and newer installation documentation mistake with detailed measurements & instructions.
Guess I just can't beat that lovely hood prop rod.
Overall, Ford has a HUGE GAP in their documentation control, manuals, and videos.

Communication is key, unfortunately i see with alot of members having lack of communication with dealerships.
Everyone expects dealership to go above and beyond the scope of there job to make the customer happy. But had the customer had a great relationship and stayed within the warranty claims 99% complaints would have been taken care of.
I find it interesting that you state you have bought 8 new ford since 85. Why haven't you had a great relationship with your selling dealership?
I do understand that not all dealership are equal. But you also have multiple choices unless you refuse to go to another dealership.
It seems Ford has a dealership problem. There’s no reason why one dealer should refuse to fix a new broken power stroke with 2k miles and another dealer it’s no problem. People will go to one dealer and assume Ford won’t help, even though it’s a total lie, then tell all their friends how Ford sucks.Oh my God, "communication", why didn't I think of that? SMH.
Over 35 years, those 8 vehicles were purchased from 4 different dealerships:
- First 2 dealerships and FORD gave ZERO ****s about fixing simple problems.
(both these are large dealerships, in large cities, where I bought the last 2
vehicles from).
(one - 42 miles away, one 275 miles away)
- Third one changed owners and went full incompetent. Salesman had no idea
I had previously purchased 4 vehicles from them.
- The 4th, in my hometown, closed the doors back in ~2010.
The fifth dealership, the one I deal with now, at least has a VERY GOOD Service Manager that gives a shit about his Customers, whether they bought the vehicle there or not.
I've done my very best to write as positive reviews and send as many people there as I can.
Ford has HUGE GAPS between what Engineers design, what manufacturing builds/ships, and dealerships/salesman sell.
*RV48 sits in his Excursion pondering the merits of a new Excursion with Aluminum body...*Bring back the ST products! Oh yea, most of america can't drive a manual and wants a 6000 lb gas guzzler that is boring af to drive.
In your opinion, what needs to be done by Farley to even have a chance are righting the ship? I know Farley is "the two Jims" as many of the Lexus Instructors I was taught by heard his wrath when he'd visit the area headquarters in Irvine. To say Hackett was a uniquely destructive force is wildly underselling it.

Your situation sounds the same. Finding good dealerships close is how to do!
