Amsoil and Rp filters are terrible.
Proof?
Nano/micro glass synthetic filter media has the ability to filter at a finer/smaller micron than cellulose base filters, yet not create additional pressure resistance.
Nano/micro technology was developed by Donaldson for the US Military. There were major filtration issues with the M1 Abrams tank in the middle east years ago. The US government contracted Donaldson to make air filters that could feed the high HP engines, filter fine micron dust to protect the engine (better than current filters), be serviceable in the field, and use NO oil.
Nano/micro glass was adopted.
The first manufacturer to make a filter with a thread end bypass and a wire-backed micro-glass media will get my business.
I know Champion Labs can do it, as I believe they made both the Ford Racing 820S and the Amsoil EaO. Ford Racing has the thread end bypass and Amsoil has the wire-backed micro-glass media. Now they just need to put them together.
I'm really surprised the EaO11 didn't get the Ford Racing base plate and bypass valve. Pretty crazy, IMO. I'm also surprised Ford Racing doesn't upgrade to the micro-glass media.
