Im thinking of doing the cobra motor/ tranny swap only. No IRS or interior right now. What major parts do i need to have to do this? I hear the tank will swap right over. I have a tubular k but is there a particular cobra k member i need? Also headers?? I think that would be the biggest part of the deal is finding headers to work. Does anyone have a write up or want to email me their experiences of doing this?? All info is greatly appreciated.

Anyone have any idea how much a wrecked 03-04 can be had for?
I bought mine in Oct 2003 with only 5K miles, so not a lot of people knew what a Terminator was, so I got it for cheap at 7400.00, sold nearly 4K in parts on eBay and locally.

Not to take away from the cars but I would find a way to keep the fox interior. I know its a pain but oh well
Actually I did a complete swap including the Dash.
Kept ALL of the nice and new things that come in a new 2003 Mustang.
Air Conditioning (including the new Unit, heater, controls) , Mach sound system (6 CD player !), air bags, cruise control, Gauges, ABS, power seats, etc! EVERYTHING is 2003 !
Mine rides like a new Car and feels rather comfortable.
The old Fox Interior and dash was rather brittle and smelly.
Bought this Car on eBay for 200.00
Bought the 2003 GT for 2000.00
Took the 03 GT apart
Took the 2.3 4 cyl engine and everything else too OUT !
Tried on the 03 KMember (yes, it fits)
Painted the engine Bay
Started putting the 03 Parts into the 87
Took the engine apart (4K miles and had a bent rod)
Put the engine back together
Installed the engine into the 87
Installed Rear end (yes it All fits), fuel lines, brake lines, ABS, driveshaft, electrical, dash, shifter, etc.
Replaced the Fuel Pump, made it run, tried some pimpin rims (don't worry, not using those)

Painted the Car myself ! Total Cost: 200.00 !
Almost Completed, but it is my daily driver now and have been driving it like this for a while now.

I agree, I like the Fox interior over the new dash/interior in the Fox.
Its not really a pain though, my brother used a 'Detail Zone' modular wiring harness/mach 1 computer w/ SCT tuning. This eliminates all the PATS/dash pains and everything else works like a stock '86.
