I just spoke to Steve, he told me that it is rated around 700 RWHP, but mentioned that he has seen this exact bottom end handle close to 1000 RWHP safely!

haha there is no such thing as 1000rwhp safely unless it's a train

The FRPP GT500 block will work in the L, just gotta pop out the plug on the back of water pump. My brother ordered one last week and got it already!

FORDSVTPARTS - Can you let me know what the part number is to the coolant fitting?

Yeah but the internals have been known to hold those power levels given proper tuning and enough fuel.

With a bad tune you'd be lucky to make 400 regardless of how good the internals are.

It may be possible to hold that kind of power BUT for how long?
I bought one of these S/Bs and haven't completed my build yet but I'm sure it will turn out well.
I don't plan on making anymore than 600 rwhp and this will handle it.
It would have been nice to have some ARP main studs and the ARP2000 connecting rod bolts though.
Again, for the price, Im very pleased.

My brother just got finished making his into a long block and will be installing it soon! He would be pushing it to its limits though. He will be running, ported heads, stock cams, ported blower, 6# lower and maybe a little smaller upper.

Yes I have the L specific FRPP block, just was a little thrown by the way you worded it.

I should be in the 550 mark on this S/B in a couple months and I will update.

I will say my s/b had a backwards installed piston which I had to resolve.
