Well this finally happened. I never make anything easy and love thinking outside the box, so years after the idea, my buddy Mike (@ninety5fiveoh), who is an extremely talented industrial designer tackled the bracket design to make these huge calipers fit on these cars. Most of you have probably seen his build thread where this was originally debuted.

Over the winter I pieced together the last of the parts I needed to tackle the project and we planned a weekend to bang out the install at @JonBeast 's house.

My rear brakes were in need of a repaint, so since I decided to do the Stifflers Stainless Brake Hoses out back, we pulled off the calipers and I stripped and painted them. Decided to go with the red lines for some added color that I'll barely ever see lol.

(Mandatory Dunks on the tires shot to start a full days worth of work)

Got all that rear work done, Mike showed up and went to town. We finished breaking down the front end. Swapped in the Team Z A Arms and installed the Steeda Bumpsteer kit. Once that was in, we bolted on the hub with modified spindles, installed the bracket, rotors and then the big yellow bananas. I went with the EBD RedStuff pads and actually had no idea they were red as well haha

We finished up late once we bled the brakes so it was too late to take it for a drive. Took it out the next morning and I can honestly say I am SUPER impressed with how well these things stop. Mike will have some more info on the brackets on how to order them sometime in the near future.

Some final shots once I got the car cleaned up and home:

That’s is awesome. Wish someone could make brackets so the newer brembo calipers worked on cobra brakes.

Are the V calipers pricey compared to Brembos? Also - if the front brakes are too big vs the rears it can affect your bias at the limit, so be careful.

And to think, some of the marauder guys have been installing the PBR two piston calipers from c5 vettes on marauders as an upgrade (same caliper as the cobra/mach1/bullitt).

I know the V brakes are popular because it's a cheap 6 piston brembo caliper.

The yellow works really well on your car, I would repaint the front so it doesn't say V but that's just me. Always triggers me when I see Marauders with front brakes that say "CORVETTE" lol
