Any recomendations as to where to stay and any discounts or promotions I should look into? Going to be turning 21 on march 25 and were planning on going out there for March 27th and March 28th, going to drive so no flying reservations needed. I found a room in the MGM for about 400 for two nights, does that sound fair? Anyone have the hookup on rooms, shows, clubs, that sort of thing?

Just got back, I am a little depressed now...

I stayed at the Venetian, 150 a night including tax. 400 for two nights at MGM is way overpriced. IMO the two nicest places to stay on the strip are the Wynn or Encore, and the Venetian or the Palazzo. Check each of their website during the day and the prices will be lower than at night when everyone is checking them. I used hotels.com and did the math, there was no discount, same price for everything if I had purchased them individually. Have fun

I was just there this last week for conference, and Vegas was absolutely DEAD! Have fun because the tables are very tight.

Look around for deals. A lot of the casinos are running specials right now becuase of reduced business.

If your worried about how much it cost, dont go......LOL Seriously, I've been twice in the last 10 months, stayed at the Bellagio both times, amazing, simply amazing, and I have yet to pay for a room. I stay 7 days first time and 8 days the 2nd time, really only broke even both times, but was comped room rate both stays and had a blast. On the important part, Clubs, I'm too damn old to tell you about those......

I went last November for the first time and had a blast (and lost $1k on Let it Ride, Roulette and 2 Deck BJ). Me a few buddies stayed in MGM Signature which is supposed to an upgrade from the main building. I would shop around for prices on hotels because it doesnt really matter where you stay when you can ride the shuttle to any nice casino on the strip. Since youre turning 21 I would recommend looking into Hard Rock. Its off the strip but is not all Yuppied up like the Venetian, Bellagio, etc...Hard Rock was full of younger people and half-naked chicks dancing around the tables on stages. Check it out for sure.

went with my friends in november, no chicks.. everybodies first trip to Sin City, so we effectivley got our vegas cherry popped.. great time. stayed at Harrahs, for the weekend 2days /3 nights right at 400 for 5 people.. buddy went cause his cousin was getting hitched, so we actually partied with them at Ceasars a bit. Lost 100 bucks on the tables, not bad, but I just bought a AR15 week before, so I was playing conservatively. While some of us gambled most the time-Hooters, MGM, Oshea's, a few of us went outside the strip.. treked to Hoover Dam, saw the M&M factory in Carson. rode the rides on the top of the Stratopsphrere Tower.. saw the volcano in front of the Mirage.. I had a great time. Waay too short a duration to see everything in 2 days.

wherever you stay, go into the casino sign up for a player's card, the more you spend/gamble.,the more credits you build. Lots of credits= free schwag
