We immediately pulled the plate as a support and checked for anything else that might be there. We are still setting up the range some more so the targets will change again to something more suitable.That setup looks pretty cool, but you need to do something about preventing ricochet. I got hit in the back of the calf 3 months ago. 300 Blackout bounced off a steel plate about 10 yards away. Went more than a 1/4 inch into my calf. I still have a hole in my leg. Had a bad infection and some muscle tissue damage. Its no joke.
My buddy who is a cop said it happened to him at their police range. Said it went into his bicep. Surprised it took me this long to run into that issue.
