That setup looks pretty cool, but you need to do something about preventing ricochet. I got hit in the back of the calf 3 months ago. 300 Blackout bounced off a steel plate about 10 yards away. Went more than a 1/4 inch into my calf. I still have a hole in my leg. Had a bad infection and some muscle tissue damage. Its no joke.
We immediately pulled the plate as a support and checked for anything else that might be there. We are still setting up the range some more so the targets will change again to something more suitable.

My buddy who is a cop said it happened to him at their police range. Said it went into his bicep. Surprised it took me this long to run into that issue.

I have an opportunity I hope you guys can help with. Long story short, wife's best friend husband died. He has 2 rifles and a huge amount of reloading equipment. I don't have specifics now, but 1 is a Ruger 6.5 creedmor with a Vortex scope and the other is a Panther Arms .308 with a Nightforce scope. I have no idea what the value on these might be. I'll post pics and specifics tomorrow. Anyone have an idea what a base price might be for these?

Specific models are important. For both the rifles and optics. Generally speaking...

If the Panther Arms is an original....before they got bought out by DPMS...that sucker could be worth some money. Depending on model and condition, values vary from $2,000 to $5,000.

Again, depending on model, the Ruger could be worth a few hundred or it could be worth about $1,000.

Glass is anyone's guess, but they are both good brands.

As promised, here are specifics from the rifles I mentioned before.

Ruger M77 Hawkeye in 6.5 creedmor with a Vortex Viper scope, 6-24x50. The other is a DPMS Panther Arms LR308 with a Nightforce NXS 8-32x56 scope. Pictures of both below.
Fortunately the guy was meticulous with his stuff and still had the boxes and receipts for the scopes. He paid $750 for the Vortex and $2000 for the Nightforce. Looking to get a fair price for both so she is happy and I get a good deal.

It's that bad? I had no idea.

I owned 3 DPMS rifles in one year. One was the first purchase, the other 2 were replacements for function problems. All 3 had the same 3 problems.

Safety switch kept getting stuck in the Safe position. Regardless of how well cleaned and lubed, none of the would chamber a round if there was more than 15 rounds in a 20 round mag. (spring/bcg would get stuck). All 3 also had horrible accuracy issues. Starting out at 1.5 MOA when new... but after about 500-600 rounds, all 3 had a 6" + spread at 100 yards... minimum. The worst of the 3 was 8"+.

I had similar experiences with my DPMS AP4.

Weird. We've had zero issues out of our DPMS .308, and we have used it hard.

I'm glad yours is working for you. I would hold on to it if the weapon is reliable.

I am no warrior. Heck, I can hardly walk some days. My firearms are almost 100% entertainment (I do carry for defense). That said, with every weapon I own, I may need it to feed me or save my life some day. It must be reliable.

In my opinion... I wouldn't accept it as a gift. They are on the same level as Hi-Point, only expensive.

It's our only DPMS rifle that is 100% factory from them; we have a few other AR's that were a lower budget build that we used them for but I have heard of people complaining about the safety switch on them.

I'll take it out in a few weekends and run some rounds through it and see how it goes again, I haven't shot it in probably 6 months or more. I would agree on the Hi-Point comment. Hopefully it'll stay reliable but I won't hold my breath.

Buddy has a DPMS .308 that he has had for a long time and it has been solid from my experience.

Sometimes manufacturers have a shitty run like POF did for a bit. I would at least test out the rifle and see how it does. Should be an easy sell if you dont like it.

300Blk build is finally finished - had it out to the range yesterday and it worked like a charm once the gas block was dialed in, going to start using this one for 3 Gun now just to switch it up from the Tavor.

Specs on the build? Looks good.

Got the call and my suppressor stamp is in. Will be 1 year 18 days from purchase to in my hands. Pics to follow.

Also picked up a Liberty handgun safe yesterday (would post pics but the site won't load them). Brought the wife along to look at safes and she is down to get a Liberty Lincoln 35. Just have to appease her with a new couch and bedroom set first...lol fml.

Not giving me much hope since I ordered the same suppressor you did, but I think it was only about 5 months ago.

Well I ordered only a couple weeks before 41f came into play. So the surge of applications should be going down and approvals happening faster.

Keep in mind though your actual Form4 was submitted well after the Form3 (dealer transfer for lack of a better term). That's the only downside from ordering from Silencer Shop as far as I can tell.

Thanks - it's a DPMS upper/lower with a BCM LPK, OdinWorks 10.5" barrel along with their handguard, stock, comp, (and some of their smaller bits and pieces), AXTS Raptor CH and E-BCG. Had the upper/lower/hanguard cerakoted "Kryptic Typhon". It'll be shooting SS only as suppressors are verboten up here - I'd be happy to wait a year just to have one LOL!
