Congrats on getting the Vepr before the import ban. I have the same model that I converted to a folding stock. The gun cycles low and high brass with no issues at all.

Just asking, why did you get the wooden stock one?

How long was your wait? I'm at like 13 months now.

For the suppressor I bought through Silencer Shop on June 25, 2016 as a trust. Picked it up yesterday. So 1 year 18 days from purchase. The lowers in that pic are registered SBRs and applied for the for the eForm1 July 7, 2016. Those took 10 months and change for approval. Have you called BATFE to check on your status? I know at least for the SBRs control numbers that were submitted after mine were getting approved about 3 weeks before mine.

So the talk is that an approving official is assigned a "batch" of applications and depending on how fast they are drives approval times.

Thanks, the wood stock has grown on me so we'll see what happens with that but I'm definitely going to do something with the charging handle and the safety. I'm not a fan of either.

I liked my vepr but had some many problems with ejecting, out of all my shoguns my cheapest semi shotgun has done the best by me.

Damn that's a collection. Sorry I missed your question earlier. I got the wooden stock one because it was the cheapest I could find. I figured if I didn't like it I could change it out. I wasn't sure I would like it at first but it's grown on me a lot. So much that I'm considering changing the hand hold to wood also. I haven't fully tested it to see what it will cycle. Hopefully I got a good one that will cycle everything I throw in it.

This video is a couple of years old, but I saw it for the first time on Facebook today, and all I could think of was "now this is gun porn!"

So naturally, I thought of this thread.

I can really appreciate these, having also an appreciation of fine timepieces.

These are the Rolexes of firearms, and its price reflects exactly that.

What did you think of the HK? I haven't found a HK pistol that feels good in my hands.

The ergos on the hk45 are what made me pick it while searching for a bedside gun. I think the grip is the biggest reason i shoot it so well. The da trigger pull is complete garbage and the sa is ok but not the greatest( I need to get my hands on a sig p227).

The FN fnx/fnp are also a great platform for 45 but I didn't seem to shoot it as well. With practice I'm sure I could become just as accurate. I narrowed my search down the both of them and shot both several times the da trigger pull is better on the fnx and similar on sa pull.

I had to reply to your post because my HK experience is opposite of yours. My new HK VP9SK (my regular carry pistol) feels like it was custom made for my hand. I absolutely love how it feels and how it shoots. I know not every make/model is perfect/good for everyone. That's a given. My HK just happened to work perfectly for me.
