http://www.gunbroker.com/item/704515751Need some help determining a value for this S&W 38 Special CTG. Friend bought it off an old lady at an estate sale and doesn't know what it is worth. Doesn't look like it has really been fired at all. If it was fired it was only a few rounds.

I'll check it out in a minute and see.If you will open the cylinder and look at the frame it should have a model number stamped in there, (depending on age). Like in this picture I snatched off the intertoobs.

I was looking at completed sales on Gunbroker and there weren't any for that particular Model 15. I think your estimate is probably about as good as anything I can come up with.I wish I knew more about revolvers lol. Im guessing value is around $350-400?

No. That is exactly what was wrong with the model 19 had, and like I mentioned, it looks like somebody had the side plate off of that one you have. Somebody may have cut a few coils off the rebound spring to lighten the action in SA mode (cocked then fired). It royally screwed mine up till I bought a new Wolf spring and replaced.I was just messing with that revolver and testing the trigger pull. Are they supposed to have a hair trigger in single action? It takes literally nothing for it to go.
