I had an XDs in 45 when they first came out. I think that frame is better suited for 9mm. It was not a pleasure to shoot in 45. I wished I had waited till the introduced it in 9.

They are great pistols. Tons of fun to target shoot with. I want a fiber sight for mine.

What they said - get it. It's a great pistol for plinking with light .38spl loads or having fun with some boom and fireballs with hot .357 recipes. I hand load for both and it's a real Dr. Jekyl/Mr.Hide revolver! Stock DA is a touch heavy so I added a spring kit from Brownell's to lighten the trigger some and it's a real sweet shooter now.

These are a factory option (over the non-adj. Novaks), so Ruger probably sells them separate too - my old(er) lol eyes work a lot better with fibre optics!

Bob everyone should own at least one revolver. I have a Smith and Wesson model 686 with a 6 inch barrel and I love shooting it at the range. I’ve never put a 38 round through it and have probably shot 1000 357 mag rounds and loved every one.
If I could only have one gun(the horror) I would own the 686 in a 4 inch and be happy.

I’d love to shoot that rugger.
