Have to get in on the Sept Special....

If you had to choose right now, would you go with LFP or Apten ported Eaton since they both have Sept Specials! Mark at LFP said they use a CNC machine to port parts of the Eaton, while Apten does it all by hand.

So who should get my Eaton??:shrug:

that isn't correct....Apten uses CNC and finishes by hand

I would go with apten, or hold out till next month for the Amazon GP.

You wonder sometimes where this stuff comes from. Whoever said Apten does the porting by hand? Personally I wouldn't ANY company/person who does this by hand.

But to answer your question, I would personally go with Apten. They've been doing it the longest, have had good results, and their turn-arounds have vastly improved. JMO.

Thanks for the input, but let's keep this out of the thread. Just looking for performance comparisons, nothing else.



We probably need more info on the Amazon port. I'm willing to wait if we have more information about this.

Amazon's port jobs are out there now and I've seen a few that were posted here and the gains were great along with their ported throttle body...Derek, Rick, Linn; are you doing a lot of these now and what's the scoop on a GP???

I agree, I was going to buy some parts from them but now I know this. So I went elsewhere for my blower port and my heat exchanger.

LFP does use a CNC machine to remove the material from the bottom of the blower. I installed the LFP ported blower on my Cobra and gained 20HP/16tq on a 92 degree/high humidity day. The area where the plenum mounts and just inside, is ported by hand. Good luck with your choice!!!

Ported TB, plenum, blower combo.

I dont know if you guys carry clutches, but I forsee a huge rush of people needing them in the near future. I know a lot of people turn to you for almost everything, so its just an idea.
