The " first " and in some cases " only " unit dealers may get have contributed $2,000.00
to Ford for the " marketing " costs. We were already billed it, if this dealer sells his one and only unit, he would make $500.00 over MSRP. But, you would be have been getting
potentially the only car he could get from Ford for 2013. The old fee was $1000.00
and if a dealer got 6 cars like we did we sorta spread it through the units $166.00 per car surcharge so it was not significant...

All businesses have overhead and various promotional expenses. None of these are a potential buyers problem. Ford shakes down their dealers for a couple grand to sell these cars, too bad, dealers issue not the buyers.

...unless you told the owner(s) that you will no longer do business there after your many purchases, the sales and even the manager don't give two craps.........so tell the owner:beer:

The entire conversation was with the owner, and I did tell him.

Don't be so naive.

Every time you purchase anything you are paying that businesses expenses.

Price of coffee grinds, coffee cups, or transport of coffee goes up. Guess what you pay more!

You build a house, price of wood goes up due to transport prices, or cost to manufacturer. The house costs you more to build/buy.

It's economics/ business 101, in its simplest form. Any additional expenses, it gets passed on to the consumer

And for the record. Many dealers from different manufacturers participate in local or national advertising funds, forced onto them by their manufacturer to pay. Guess How the dealer pays it? It goes on the invoice, as a line item, the manufacturer puts it there, not the dealer. And that is passed on to the car buyer. This is no different

Take your dealer hater blinders off for a minute. It's business.

Holy Bajeeeezus Chris, do you really find it necessary to attack every post I make here and squelch any opinion that is not perfectly aligned with yours. You have major controll issues sir.

The "Economics 101" lesson that you provide does little more than demonstrate your ignorance as anyone who is truely conversant with the business world understands that all business costs cannot be directly passed on to the end consumer. Successful businesses in todays harsh enviornment balance new expenses by increasing their efficiency and reducing current costs. Failure to make those adjustments is a primary cause of business failure. BTW, why are you no longer a Ford dealer?

Not attacking. Just correcting your painfully incorrect statements.

Costs always get passed on to the consumer. Why do you think a new car for 2012 new model has a higher price than a new model in 2010? Because it cost them money to build a better car. So they pass the costs on to you. There's nothing difficult to understand about that, unless you just want to argue for sport. Like you.

No longer a Ford Dealer because ford consolidated small dealerships. This isnt news to anyone but you apparently.Just business.

You have so much dealer hatred, and are so far off base it's sickening. No one here wants to read it, other people tell you to knock it off too. Yet you continue spewing BS.

You keep asking "why do you attack me?" You're not being attacked, a 3rd grader can figure that out. You're being corrected. Last time you kept this crap up, you got banned for a month. I assume you're just asking for it again?

You're not buying a '13 GT500, you don't provide any useful information. You bring nothing positive to the table for this discussion. All you do is bash bash bash. Why are you even here? Is your life that sad and that boring that you have nothing better to do then come here and just bash on car dealers? Go back and read your previous posts in your profile. That's all you come her to do. Your act is tiring, and people here are getting more and more tired of it.

It's the clear definition of a troll.

Sorry to disappoint you Chris but I will be buying a new 2013 GT500 Coupe.

It is unfortunate that my opinions cause you such distress. We all don't think alike and have differing perspectives on various issues, automotive, business, etc. I sharply disagree with some of your statements but respect your opportunity to present them and actually enjoy reading them. Hopefully you will find your way to being rational and accepting the fact that everyone in this world is not wrong or stupid for not agreeing with you personally.

In the end we are really all on the same team here. Hope your 2013 GT500 ownership is safe and enjoyable.
