I'm about to bite the bullet in a month or so and get a truck. I'd like to spend about 21-22K. I do not need 4WD, but it's needs to have a big engine, decent fuel economy, and be able to trailer my car to the track. I like the silverado but the Tundra looks pretty nice too. Can anyone make any recomendations or have any expierences that would better help me make an educated decision? I know a little about the silverado but know nothing about the toyota. Thanks! :pop:

Can't dig the new tundra. They are nicer on the inside...but can't get past the nose on that thing.

#1 selling TRUCK in the USA... do you suppose that there may be any reasons for that??? Or maybe that many people are misguided or flat out stupid??
I doubt it ... You need to at least drive a new FORD! Best frame in the biz. and this affect many things while using a truck.

F-150 for sure, but if you are dead set on the Chevy or Toyota, get the Silverado. At least buy American.

At least buy American.

Unless you are buying guns and ammo there isn't any such thing anymore, and even then it isn't a given. If it's built here the money goes overseas and if the money stays here it's built overseas. If none of the above is true, the components are from overseas. When it comes to vehicles, just get what you like the best and hope it doesn't get you killed because of some stupid design problem.

The Tundra is as ugly as a dried diahrea shit fence with peanuts and undigested corn in it.

If I were looking for a pickup, I'd definitely look at the F150, probably 1st, then see what compared to it. Best wishes on your final decision.

I just purchased an 09 Silverado in December. So far I have zero complaints and am enjoying it a lot.

I didnt even consider the Tundra as its not appealing to me at all.

I have an '08 Silverado (got a screaming deal on it I couldn't pass up) and I like it. A friend of mine is looking for a truck and drove the new F150 and he liked it a lot. The Tundra looks like somebody shot it with a shit gun.
