I'm new to the mods.

I want some guages, but am not sure what would look better.

White Lunar guages (I think they are brighter?)

Or Silver Ultra Lites with green bulbs?

What does everyone prefer?

Lunars for sure!! When you bought your cobra you got the best of the best, so dont skimp on the little things like guages. Get the Lunars. All your friends with the ultra-lites will be jealous ;-)

Are they noticeably off from the color/brightness of the stock cluster?

Part of my reasoning for the Ultra Lites was I have the boost/fuel press from my GT, and I thought it would be cool in a sentimental sorta way to have them on the Cobra  . Miss the GT hehe :(

I know there are many pics on this board of them at night. Do a search and see what comes up. They are very close IMO, but not 100% the same. If you use an add-a-circuit you can simply adjust the brightness the same way you adjust the stock guages.

I have the Lunar boost and fuel pressure gauges. The Lunar gauges are a bit brighter green than the stock instrument cluster. You can have a dimmer installed which would get them closer to matching your cluster. Do a search and you should be able to find the mod instructions. I like them bright because they're more noticeable from the outside. LOL! As far as the actual green color, it is a bit more crisp in my opinion, but that might be partially due to the overall brightness. I think they look great. These gauges, of course, are as close as you'll get to matching your stock cluster.

I like the lunar guages. I also hooked up the white wire for the lights to the stock dimmer switch and put the ground on a toggle switch, so when driving I am not blinded.

Do you think they are that bright? They're brighter than stock but not so bright that you must dim them. At least mine aren't that bad. :??:

What vac line do you splice into for a boost gauge on a 2003 cobra?

I T off the one under the steering wheel. That one goes to the stock boost gauge.

the ultralite bareles lites up...and comes nowhere near matching

on the other hand, the gauge itself is higher quality and less prone to failure

I have both and the lunar is much easyer to read at mach speeds
as the ulta lite you have to focus too much and take your eyes off the road or track.Ulta lite is lighter in weight for those who count

Snkbyte,

Any pics at night? Are you using the bulb covers included?

94SVT,
Any directions on how to do this or what kinda rheostat you used?
So using that with the dimmer up all the way burns them out or dimming them too low?
